Forget Plan B, now we need Plan C.
First topic message reminder :

So with our metronome out of action until next season Wales will be forced to confront their game plan issues head on.
Half's world class kicking has kept us competitive in many games and he has kept defenders out, which has finally cost him and us.
This should cement Biggar as 10 at least as he is by far the better place kicker, but Wales will have to have a complete rethink for South Africa.
This is an opportunity for Liam Williams but who then steps in on the bench….Hook?

Without trying to cause a row, the way you played "plan A" against England, you need a plan period, as the selection for that match clearly couldn't play it.
Plan X against Scotland however, despite the 14 men issue, looked very good.

According to the Western mail they are;

Although as all fans of every nation knows, the media can put a 'spin' on anything.
Cheers for the link. Just sounds as if he's deflecting potential criticism really.

it lkooks like Gatland has brainwashed the players as well - under an article called 'View from the dressing room', Jonathan Davies is quoted as saying
So it seems that the poor campaign (by Wales standards) is being brushed under the carpet, its not THEIR plan that's wrong it's just the others are not playing to the script.
Having said that I've no doubt that a lot of the sounds coming out of the Welsh camp are damage limitation and they don't really believe what they are saying.
Davies concurred with Warren Gatland’s observation that Wales have become victims of teams being unwilling to take them on by playing rugby.
“I watched the early couple of games and in previous years our defence has won us championships and teams don’t want to go up against that defence because it is very dominant and physical,” he said.

Yeah Gatland said England and Ireland (particularly Ireland), kicked more v Wales. It doesn't bother me if they did or not, as even if they kicked less it's pretty certain they kicked more effectively than us (be it by position of the kick or just by the fact their chase was more effective). Think that's the biggest problem we have is even if we are kicking less, we kick aimlessly too much (where players get an easy catch) and with that usually have a pretty poor chase.
