I have taken P.E.D.S over the years and have heard a lot of crap mentioned about them...There seems to be an awful lot of misinformation when it comes to these controversial supplements.........For any would be Steroid user who is thinking about taking the leap..Here are a few things to ponder...A little guide ............Obviously it is essential to go into more depth of research before taking the plunge for real !!

steroids are legal in Britain for personal use.........

1. Do I need to take them ??...........You can build a good physique without them by working out properly..Good supplementation and recovery processes....

2. They are pointless under the age of 21 because your body is still growing and your testosterone levels are high...

3. As one ex-pro said to me you need to earn the right to take steroids......In other words reach a certain level physically and educationally before you indulge......Not for beginners or immature types...

4. You need to respect the PEDS .........If you go out on a Saturday night drinking then don't..........Most If not all Steroids like Test Cyp, Sustanon, D-bol etc are toxic to the liver......Especially tablet form steroids which pass through the liver first...........If you are going to get the best out of them and not overly risk your health then stay off the alcohol....eat right and rest properly..........No half measures....

Research dosages and remember forget the trolls on the internet.........Less is always more.........!!!!

Make sure the stuff you use is from legitimate laboratories !!!!!!!

5. Ask yourself If you are an addictive personality..............Because steroids work and when you start looking great...You will want to look even better.............Proper cycling is very important............Steroids needn't be any more dangerous than alcohol If taken properly...

6. Am I an aggressive personality ??............If you are a passive laid back type chances are the only mood altering change you'll notice is when you get angry you'll get more angry than usual.......However If you are an aggressive personality.......Best avoid completely !!

7. Post Cycle therapy (PCT) - You'll need this to control estrogen levels in the body to aid recovery and keep stuff like Gyno away (If you are pre-disposed to it!) and hopefully keep most of your gains too.......

7a. On cycle therapy is very important to ..........Milk thistle, Cranberry juice, Hawthorne berry extract, cod liver oil ......For the heart,liver and joints etc are all essential components of off setting some of the side effects...Which can vary depending on the individual...In many cases - .Chronic fatigue, headaches, abdomen pain etc...........Or worse in some cases....Like I said best not to use them.

8. Remember that steroids don't make you big.......Hard work does.........Know your rep range and exercises that work best for you before taking........Don't risk your health without getting the best out of the stuff !!

9. Some steroids are for Mass and some are for cutting...............Don't just take stuff without knowing what it will do for you........I've seen people taking Deca thinking it will add mass.........

10. Regular blood work is a good idea..............All the old pros like Arnie made regular trips to the Doc.........

If you are going to do them and I suggest you don't !!!!!..........Then research properly, treat them with respect and in most cases they are as dangerous as alcohol...........

This is a rough guide...............Nothing more.............Get professional advice.

No time for PEDs myself - but half the kids in my gym are up to their eyeballs.

Remember having a drink with an older friend of mine, I was about 15-16 at the time he was about 21, drinking some brandy, and he turned to me and said "I'm actually not supposed to be drinking because I'm on steroids, I could have a heart attack any moment, but ag whatever"... not sure why but thats always stuck with me.

Heart attack was the least of his problems though steroids do raise the blood pressure..

Acute liver and kidney damage was more likely..

I think steroid use is more prevelant than what we probably think and what worries me is the stigma that is attached to P.E.D's that can cause a user to feel intimidated or frightened to gain accurate advice about the drugs they are using.

My personal opinion is that there is nothing wrong with using peds if you are not a professional athlete. If you want to use peds to increase your appearance then why should people judge that user negatively.

regarding the ill side effects of peds, well alcohol can cause just as much damage. Al boils down to getting the correct advice and using the peds in a professional and safe manner.

I was very vain in my late teens and early twenties...

Some people think that looking big improves the confidence..It doesn't...Confidence comes from being happy with yourself..

Most people think I'm very confident..I'm not just good at Bullcrapping my way through life..

If anyone things steroids and the added size will bring confidence and self love....That comes from the inside..Not the outside..

Wise words truss, though good body definitley helps confidence. Im a powerlifter and do bodybiulding assitance work to keep in shape. I try to stay around 90kg so eat similar to a bodybuilder. Only eat carbs on heavy training days.

6ft Truss, No idea what bodyfat percenatage, not ripped but look pretty lean. Probably 202lbs at the minute. 212 is a good weight. Pretty big!

You are the same height as me....You probably have a better B/F percentage.....

Always wanted a Zane-esque physique but unfortunately have more of a Franco Columbu shape to me..

Very blocky......

Pretty lean at 202 is impressive...Keep it up.

Columbu looked fantastic - If I was 5'5ish I'd rather look like Franco than Zane. At 6'0, Im defo looking more to Serge Nubret, who peaked at 210-ish.

20 years that's a long time mate. I'm on my 8th year. Fractured eye socket during kickboxing. Had take year out, started weight training and never looked back.

HGH is only bad if you use too much and stay on forever. 3-4 ius a day for 4-6 months is fine. Apparently very costly stuff but is great for getting in condition.

High dose of tren A, 100mg Anavar, 3 or 4 ml of test, throw in some HGH with insulian and you will be BIG and ripped

Took Test 400 sometime ago...and crashed really badly afterwards...

My Wife asked me If I was being naughty too....Just said I was stressed at work..

If I ever cycle again won't be using that..

Test Prop is good for recovery, problem being there is more frequent injections. It hits you fast but also clears very quick. You would be shut down faster, tho recovery is a cake walk compared to the longer ester steroids.

Thing is, everybody reacts differently to these drugs. For example some people get bad Libido issues with Deca or tren, yet some others are like sex maniacs.

Me too, I train a hybrid of bodybuilding and powerlifting. I always do a heavy compound for more sets and less reps. Then my secondary work is higher rep stuff to really tear down the fibres and look for a bit of growth.

Every gym session is a challange for me. I dont mind having an off day and lifitng less than usual or not completing that final pull up. I think that makes you come back stronger and more determined. Sometimes you have to fail to get stronger.

At the age now where I can't squat and deadlift in the same week......

Tend to favor squats as it's my strongest lift (one of those rare guys that squats more than he deadlifts!!)..

Find T-bar rows a good substitute as I can shift a lot of weight..

Squats and deadlifts are not necessary, that is just bro-science, tho its necessary for me cause im planning to compete in powerlifting this year

My wife hates mass monsters, say most women with any intellect are the same. She likes biggish guys that look lean but strong. Something like the guy that plays thor or your man Cavill that plays superman.

Women prefer that kind of a physique to mutants.
