TNA impact results for 13/3
Ethan Carter leads a group backstage and finds Bobby Roode, blaming him for his aunt's removal from power, but Roode says it's Dixie's fault. Roode says her insurance policy Bully Ray screwed them all over, then they agree and decide to do something about it. After a recap video, MVP comes out and says Dixie Land is closed, and they are going to move forward towards success, but he needs to make note of something. He says he doesn't know why Bully Ray got involved, but he will have his own time to speak and will be treated fairly. MVP says he's in charge now so he wants to start his "Motivate, Validate, Participate" way of business, and he wants everyone to get a fair shot and stay in line. Magnus cuts him off and says this is ridiculous, and he should stop wasting time and listen up, because Dixie fumbled but he took the ball and scored.
Magnus says he kept his own reign intact, and he is more powerful than ever because of Abyss, his insurance policy and associate. Abyss (with a new look) enters the ring and Magnus agrees with the fans' 'you sold out' chants, because will use Abyss like never before. Magnus says Abyss is only half monster, because he is motivated by destruction AND money, and he's got plenty of money to go around. MVP says Magnus was getting his ass kicked until 'The Monster' handed him a win, so they are going to get another man to join the conversation. MVP invites Samoa Joe to the ring to settle things, and he says Joe is very calm and collected instead of attacking because Joe believes in the principles of MVP. He announces Joe will get a rematch against Magnus next week, and Joe will get validation against Abyss, in a match right now.
Samoa Joe vs Abyss
Joe tackles Abyss and punches him a few times, then they stand off as we go to a commercial break. We get back to see Joe stomp Abyss in the corner, then Abyss knees him in the ribs and focuses on the midsection. Abyss hits him a few times before attempting a chokeslam, but Joe counters with a kick to the face and a backsplash. Joe hits a spinning powerslam and a corner knee, then he sets up a Muscle Buster but the weight is too much for his injured ribs. Abyss chokeslams him and goes for Janice, but Eric Young runs in and knocks him down with a missile dropkick and throws him out of the ring.
Winner (by disqualification) – Samoa Joe
Jeremy Borash is waiting backstage for Bully Ray's arrival when he looks surprised to see Angelina Love in the building. He asks why she's there, and she just asks if he missed her, and walks away. We get back from a break to find out Bully Ray is almost there, then Willow the Whisp starts going off about some nonsense about love and hate.
Brittany vs Gail Kim (w/ Lei'D Tapa)
Gail tackles Brittany and stomps her, then she throws her in the corner but Brittany comes back with some forearm shots. Tapa runs in but inadvertently splashes Gail in the corner, then Brittany rolls Gail up for the surprise win. Samuel Shaw is shown talking about how 'she' is an inspiration and he is an artist, then he thanks Christy for her help on Sunday. He says she needs him again, and he will show Ken Anderson he's not a creepy bastard once and for all. Shaw sees the camera man and tells him to go away, because this is between them and no one else. Following this, Rockstar Spud says it's time for them to pay tribute to Madam Dixie, and Ethan Carter asks what's going on and Spud says he has a plan for it.
Samoa Joe is shown looking for Eric Young, and when he finds him he says his attack on Abyss is crossing the line. He says he will give him a pass, but it had better not happen again. Eric asks if he's threatening him because he doesn't care, and Abyss is his fault. Eric says he needs to fix this, and he won't stop until he does, so he went to MVP and took care of things. He says he'll be chained to Abyss at ringside during next week's title rematch, and it might be a bad idea, but it's something he has to do.
Rockstar Spud comes out with Ethan Carter to pay tribute to Dixie Carter, and Spud gets angry over MVP before saying this night is about his queen. He says he prepared a tribute and cries as he thanks her, then they play a Dixie hype video and Spud reads a poem. MVP cuts them off and he says Spud acts like Dixie is dead, but she is just doing paperwork in the office and he actually likes Spud. He says he knows Spud can be loyal to him just like he was to Dixie, and Spud says he can't be a wrestler because he's Chief of Staff. MVP says he needs to fulfill his contract as a wrestler and he won British Boot Camp, then he pumps him up and says he's facing Willow! Ethan laughs but MVP says he will also get a match, and he is facing Bobby Lashley next week. Ethan says it's not happening because Lashley isn't signed, but MVP tells him Lashley has a contract and Spud starts to flip out. Lashley smashes a poster of Dixie over Spud's head, then Ethan gets in his face but ends up psyching him out and leaving. Bully Ray finds Ethan backstage and hits him with a sign before leaving him laying.
Street Fight
Samuel Shaw (w/ "Christy") vs Ken Anderson
Shaw sneak attacks Anderson on the stage and kicks him down the ramp, then he whips him into the steps and checks on 'Christy'. Shaw slams his head into the apron, then Anderson blocks a second shot before rolling him in, but Shaw knees him into the corner. They slug it out before Anderson clotheslines Shaw, then Anderson connects with a neckbreaker and a rolling fireman's carry slam. Anderson sits with 'Christy' in the corner and Shaw freaks out, begging Anderson to stop before swinging at him, but Anderson counters with a Mic Check for the win.

Winner (by disqualification) – Willow
Bully Ray comes out and says he never thought he'd hear them chant his name, and they say your life flashes before your eyes when you die. He says Ken Anderson slammed him in a coffin and helped him see the light, and he wanted to give them a really good reason for his actions. Bully says now, Bobby Roode and his cronies made it physical, and he was just trying to save Roode from himself. He says Roode winning would have just turned him into another Dixie, which they don't need, so he wants to stop talking and fight. Roode comes out and they slug it out, then Bully jabs him a few times and hits him with an elbow shot before going for a table. He sets it up but walks into a spinebuster by Roode, then Roode sets up a Roode Bomb but Bully counters with a diving cutter, then a powerbomb through the table.

Hmm...sounds like Willow is going to be a bit mental, sort of like "Joker" Sting.
Will the fans now be his "Wisps" instead of "Creatures"?

Re: TNA impact results for 13/3
Gav will like Spuds poem from this week - he makes an Eastenders joke in it!!
Re: TNA impact results for 13/3
I have to say that Rock Star Spud and EC3 are brilliant on this weeks show
Re: TNA impact results for 13/3
This has been a great impact.
I love how they are using Jeff Hardy as Willow.
I didnt think it would work but the production on his entrance is great. I love how they have put a filter on the camera to make it more trippy. It seems that Hardy is now heel - I never really liked Hardy but I DO like this gimmick.

Re: TNA impact results for 13/3
Ha! I loved that Magnus picture as well...didn't think Americans knew that word!
Really liked Spud and EC3's Dixie tribute too. The little fella really gave it his all. If he ever gets fed up with wrestling, he'd make (already is?) a great ham actor.
Also liking Hardy's new (return to?) Willow character. Think it confused the fans a little as he got a mixture of Willow / Hardy chants. He is distinctly darker and more sinister now. His incoherent rambling promos and animalistic persona just add to the creepiness. I've always liked him as a wrestler, but as himself, he's never had much of a character. Think a lot of it is to do with him rarely getting on the mic. The most we ever heard from him was during the backstage segments before or after fights.
Only thing I didn't really like was Abyss' makeover. His outfit was generally okay, but his new mask makes him look like a Marvel / DC comic book villain.
It was also great to see Bully back and leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. I actually thought he'd bowed out after his coffin match with Anderson, given the number of other people who've left recently.
