What Jobs have you had?

can be , work experience ,volunteery or paid work

for me i have had 3 work experience jobs , the first one at school at a garden centre in 2008 as a back room member pricing stock , second one at the college i went to in 2010 as a admin assistant and the third one working at the job centre.

dont know if it counts but i also helped my mate do his paper round one week

I joined the Royal Navy almost straight from school and spent 25 years on active service. On completion of active service I went back to working for the navy in a training capacity as a civilian. I completed 15 years reservist service whilst working as a civvy but when I reached 55 they told me I could no longer serve at sea so all I have now is the civilian work.

In the end I had to (reluctantly) hang up my steaming boots but it has been a privilege to serve.

Trussers: If I had a pound for every time I've been called Uncle Albert, I'd be able to afford a racing vessel and take part in Cowes Week. Knowing my luck though, it'd probably be sunk by taking a direct hit from the starting cannon for the Round the Isle of Wight Race. <laughing>

4L - Have you got a reunion coming up in the next week or so?

I too joined the Royal Navy straight from school. Bailed out after 13yrs. Half pension, gratuity etc. Worked for securicor for 8 months, £6.73 ph for carrying wads of cash around with only your helmet/plastic visor for protection. Now with Network rail as a signaller..

Worked as a labourer for my dad and uncles from I was old enough to hold a bucket of cement. Still give my dad a hand when I've annual leave from my job.
Qualified as a lifeguard at 17 and worked in a pool for 5 years through A-levels and uni. 2 summers as a marina attendant sandwiched in there too.
Qualified as a physio from uni and been working as a musculoskeletal physio since then.

The biggest reunion of the lot was last weekend, Shah.... at Twickenham. Army straight from school until I was 21.
Left and spent the summer working in Ibiza.
Care worker for a decade on nights.
Trained as a mental health nurse and now been qualified for a couple of years.
