Might be last chance for Nasri but none of the other will make it for sure.

Lloris, Landreau, Mandanda.

Defenders: Debuchy, Sagna, Koscielny, Sakho, Varane, Mangala, Digne, Evra.

Midfielders: Cabaye, Grenier, Matuidi, Mavuba, Pogba, M. Sissoko, Valbuena

Forwards: Benzema, Giroud, Griezmann, Rémy, Ribéry


No Nasri? Massive shock considering his form.

Nasri his chances and never quite settled in this team. Not a team player, more of a trouble maker. Would have liked to see Evra gone as well but at least he brings experience.

How are France likely to line up? On paper I think their best XI is

Haven't seen a lot of the French recently, so I may be massively off with that line-up!

He also selected the following 7 rookies to make the back up list or whatever it is called.
Cabella, Gonalons, Lacazette, Perrin, Ruffier, Schneiderlin, Trémoulinas

Nasri is a way better player than say Grenier and Valbuena but Deschamp doesnt like the fact that he moans when he's not playing which badly affects team morale.
Good on him I say, you cant have behaviour like that after the SA debacle.

Toss up between France and Ecuador as group winners. Switzerland can also mount a threat but will probably miss out. Honduras unlikely to make any impact.

I see Deschamps is suing Nasri's girlfriend, and the FFF is too

France 4 - 0 Norway. Arsenal frontman Olivier Giroud netted an impressive brace tonight for France, including scoring an exquisite half volley.

I told you this lad was world class.   

Yeh the game was on bt sport. France actually look like a good team and I expect a lot of goals to come from them.

Great news for Griezmann though. Really think this could be his breakout tournament.

France trashed Jamaica 8-0 last night before flying to Brazil. really substandard opposition but good for team spirit and confindence I guess.

France looks good against weaker teams ... a bit like Arsenal in the EPL

let's see how they cope with Honduras and ecuador who are much more physical and can defend!

Obviously losing Ribery and not picking nasri seems like they are understrength. But there are a good team without them. Friendlies mean little and are an extention of training. But they showed strength v Ukraine when it mattered. I think they could be top Europeans.

Dropping Nasri is a good move after the last few tournaments have disintegrated in farce.

They do seem much more together as a unit, and arguably ribery's injury will benefit them if it allows griezmann to shine

Think France may have a chance of squeezing through, simply because of the scheduling.

They play Honduras first which is a banker three points, thus slightly easing the pressure on them from the get go. I think they'll lose out to Switzerland, before edging out Ecuador in a pressure, winner-takes-all game.

They then walk straight into either a powerful front-line of Argentines or Bosnians in the last sixteen; either way, it'll be goodbye to France.

Good game there, nice finish at the end, thanks to some brilliant officiating by the ref.

I think France can get to the semis, they have great vibrant young stars and with Pogba, Griezman and Varane have some of the best young talent in world football. Still feel they miss to many chances though, they could have scored 7 or 8 tonight, the Honduras players were a disgrace.

The lad is gold, got to start for the rest of the tournament. Sociedad must be rubbing there hands together, a bidding war will end up gaining them 30+ million.

France and Germany look like the two best teams in the competition so far. Such great football they have played.
