Eubank JR
Does anybody like this guy? He hasn't fought anyone of note yet but goes around talking like he's a multiple time world champion, and contradicts himself more than Amir Khan saying he won't talk about Floyd Mayweather.
On Saturday he said he'd never heard of Billy Joe Saunders, spent the last twelve months calling him out on twitter asking for a shot at the titles. Today he's taken to abusing Gavin Rees saying he'd never heard of him, but that he enjoyed Broner beating him up.
Complete and utter clown.

Re: Eubank JR
The Boxnation team were talking about how good his power is....
Please!!
Haven't seen anything to suggest he can step up, just a poor impersonation of his dad.
Don't see him getting away with that nonsense, even at British level.

Re: Eubank JR
I think I said on the fight night thread, his dad was marmite, but his son is a poopie burger. All the arrogance, none of the eccentric 'charm'. He's either been advised that panto villains sell, or he's a complete tool. Probably both.

One of the brothers best mates boxed under Barry Hearns when Eubank was there,he said Eubank was a brilliant bloke he had loads of time for everyone especially novice fighters in the camp, alway's coming up and chatting, didn't have a bad word to say about Eubank unlike Herbie Hide.

Re: Eubank JR
I think Eubanks Jr. Could actually be the real deal in terms of talent. Incredibly fast hands and has power to go with it.
He's got to get himself noticed somehow, and playing the patomine villain is one way how. You don't have to be liked to get paid.

He may well be the real thing, but his dad declaring that nobody but Ward at 160 and 168 can beat him after playing with a walking punchbag for a few rounds is ridiculous.

Re: Eubank JR
Absolutely cannot stand this guy. At least with other "panto villains" like Broner and Naz, they have an element of humour in their antics, this guy is just a knob for the sake of being a knob. shows his opponents zero respect, has so far insulted Saunders, Ogogo, Buglioni, Kerry Hope, (can't think of any more at the moment but im sure there is someone im forgetting.)
Totally unjustified sense of superiority. The sooner someone beats him embaressingly, the better.

I could be the minority then... But I like the persona, the arrogance is watchable. He could well become a fighter people want to watch to lose (bit like his father, who actually turned out to be a top guy when it was all said and done!).

Re: Eubank JR
I've only seen hom a handful of times, but do not see any real evidence of power that has been mentioned a couple of times in this thread. He looks like he is British level, maybe European on his best day, but not above that. Mind you, he has only had 15 fights. Given him another half a dozen learning fights and then step up in class and we will see what he is really like.

Re: Eubank JR
Gavin Rees showed him up big time. When he came back at Eubank Jr telling him that to come back to him once he has a British, European and World Title....Eubank tells him "at least I have 80k followers on twitter".....sighhhhhhh.

Yeah but to be fair I don't hear many up-and-coming young boxers saying "ooh, that blokes a right tough bastrd, wouldn't fancy my chances against him"...
