what an utter clusterfruck of a ppv. the wyatt family is now the least intimidating group of psychotic cultists ever, for some reason MIz is being given a title despite being utterly lacking in almost all departments, and cena beat the odds once again and looked like a fool whilst doing it

the usual wwe show happened essentially

So much for Cena helping Wyatts over ey! Can't remember who said it but few thought that Cena coming out on top of that feud wouldn't effect Bray....

Essentially lost that feud 3-0....didn't look like winning the MITB and has now been put to bed by Jericho....even if he ties that feud up what's the point?...he would be 1-1 and lets be honest it's not a feud that has the legs to go 9 weeks and into a decider at Night Of Champions..

The Miz is just so bland that putting a title on him is pointless. Yet another Battle Royal where the winner does nothing for the vast majority of the time. I get that he's a sly, arrogant heel but jesus the whole 'wrestlers don't notice a superstar has gone over and then loses as they celebrate' routine has been done to death now. I hope as soon as Barrett comes back he picks the strap back up (was a nice touch to have him there and keep him in everyone's mind).

The main event was ok; fully expected Cena to get the win...though again a bit more creativity wouldn't go amiss...is that Cena's go to finish in matches with more than 1 opponent...AA one on to another?!

Think WWE simply have too many PPV events now and it creates stagnation on storylines. It was far to easy to pull the trigger on Rollins vs Ambrose and I imagine they realised that a little too late hence the match not going ahead in the end due to 'ambrose being kicked out of building'..

AJ vs Paige could have been a good feud; yet again I think they have pounced on it too early; they should have had Paige make AJ wait for her title shot instead of giving in straight away...now were left with these two going back and forth and a title which either has to change hands a few times (essentially devaluing it) or Paige losing her title challenge a few times which does her no good at all.

Feel RAW needs to be a big one to get many of the feuds back on track and create new ones....

Orton vs Kane
Reigns vs HHH
Brock vs Cena

All need seeds planting!

It wasnt a terrible PPV, but I think it could have been more. The classic WCW bait and switch aside, all the matches delivered in someway. The match of the night was without a doubt the Tag match. I think the feud has run its course so The Uso's retaining was the right way to go. Either the Ascension make the step up tonight or they face the Dust Busters.

It was actually a decent Diva's match, way better than the pre-show. These 2 are definatly the top two in the roster, but its going to get stale quick.

I think they did the right thing with Rusev and the recent tragedy. If they hadnt atleast mentioned it it would have been the elephant in the room. The match was good, probably Rusev's best so far, and Swagger has an out for the rematch.

I think they gave Jericho the win to rebuild him so its better for Wyatt when he eventually goes over. That match felt like they were holding back somewhat though.

The battle royal was another good example, with plenty of dramatic eliminations. Again, Miz seems like the most logical choice, and pulling the rug from under Ziggler gives him some good heat, its just a shame I think he's damaged beyond repair. Really cant see The Miz getting back to the level he once was.

The main event, while predictable, was still a good effort. Some good spots and I almost believed Reigns would pin Cena. Im still not happy Cena won though - if you read my Seth Rollins thread you'll know how I would have booked it. If he's feuding with Brock it absolutly CAN NOT be for the title at this stage, which, unless theres a dramatic cash in tonight, seems to be the way its going.

And for those wondering, I am STILL going to count it as a Seth Rollins victory in the Prediction League, as it seems to have been officially declared as such.

Thought that was a good PPV to be fair. Battle Royals are always essentially boring things, but the spots were good and the winner was the right one. His recent gimmick tweak was perfect for The Miz and his mic work is very good in this role.

Tag team match was incredibly well done. Usos are brilliant and have been shown some real faith.

Really great to see its Cena's fault that Wyatt lost to Jericho. Jesus, that whining doesn't get old...

I'd have booked Jericho to go over initially. They did the absolute correct thing in a) having him suddenly caught out and b) not submitting. Wyatt will win at SummerSlam, the bigger event and also the last in the feud I'd imagine so he gets the end win.

Big fan of what they did with Rollins and Ambrose. Think Ambrose came out of the PPV a lot hotter than he would have from a match.

Rusev/Swagger will go again. Deserves a SummerSlam moment.

I also think the AJ/Paige thing is smarter this way. That was basically their first proper match. And the characters have ways to go.

Overall I consider every booking decision to have been the right one. Usos match was brilliant, main event was good but predictable, but much of WWE is so I can't blame them in some ways.

Don't know what everyone is moaning about, wasn't THAT bad!

Tag team match was brilliant. 3rd fall was the best tag team action so far this year.

I didn't think we'd get Ambrose - Rollins so at least we got more build up.

AJ - Paige could have done with a few more minutes. They tried to fit an 11-12 minute match into 7 minutes.

Wyatt - Jericho was a very strange one. Couple of botches and I really didn't expect a clean pin for Jericho. That black eye on Wyatt is a belter!

Rusev - Swagger was good. Thought Swagger would have got a bigger pop when he came out after that promo from Lana. Swagger looked strong and Rusev remains undefeated. Hopefully see a submission match at Summerslam.

The Battle Royal was decent. Called the finish when The Miz went to the outside. Possibly a unification match at Summerslam.

The main event was way better than I expected. Cena was always going to win but the false finishes gave me just a bit of dount which is as much as I could expect. Disappointed that we didn't get an attempted cash in or an appearance from Lesnar but that will be for tonight!

Overall, not amazing but I certainly won't be complaining. Especially after last year!

WWE issued the following statement on Lana's promo at WWE Battleground:

"Last night's segment during WWE's Battleground event was in no way referring to the Malaysia Airlines tragedy. The storyline with characters Rusev and Lana has been a part of WWE programming for more than 3 months. WWE apologizes to anyone who misunderstood last night's segment and was offended."

People are offended by anything. Not sure, even if referenced, that what she said was offensive

I thought it was close to the mark, but it's not like they were mocking the dead. I think the WWE's statement is a little disingenuous, but I don't think Lana's promo was offensive.

Did anybody else hear Seth Rollins call Dean Ambrose a "piece of sh*t" when they were brawling outside the ring just near the ramp? It was quite audible.

Was a bit suprised Chris Jericho beat Bray Wyatt but I think it was the right choice. If Wyatt won straight away everyone would be saying "Jericho loses all the time, this win means nothing", so at least it will mean a bit more when Wyatt wins at Summerslam. I just hope its a clean win.

I kind of hoped Luke Harper and Erick Rowan would take the Tag Team titles, but it was a great match. I would like The Usos to feud with Goldust and Stardust now. The matches would be great.

glad I'm not the only one who heard what Rollins called Ambrose, I just thought it was a member of the crowd but watching it again, it is definitely Seth who said it

The tag title match was MOTN, love the Uso's and Harper/Rowan are so good and so athletic for men of their size

didn't enjoy Wyatt/Jericho, spotted about 3 botches and at one point it was obvious Jericho was calling a spot into Wyatt's ear. Y2J winning was logical though, carries the feud into SS and will hopefully build Wyatt even more when he wins the next match

The fatal 4 way was actually very good IMO, Reigns is so over and it's easy to see why he was the 'breakout star' of the Shield. Kane and Orton did their jobs well, don't know where Kane will go for Summerslam, as Orton looks to be facing Reigns, judging by what's been happening. Cena winning was the right decision so he can drop the belts to Lesnar

Overall a decent PPV, not excellent but not awful either, good build to Summerslam though, some great feuds to look forward to, even the Divas! (how hot is Paige btw!)

It was an ok PPV for me. I think that the hottest thing coming out of it was definitely the Usos and the Wyatts. I think they're starting to show what Tag Team wrestling can be!
