To be fair though, if you take the headline bout off any card they don't tend to hold up. Froch Groves or Cotto Martinez weren't the best cards without the main attraction.

Absolute kick in the nugs for paying customers, this.

Pretty negative from you Toppy.

I just wanted to see a fight, you seem to be revelling in the fact we won't see one.

doesn't answer either of my two questions.

You only asked one question and it could be argued you meant it as a rhetorical question

What's the point in even trying to converse with a lump head like you?

Shouldn't this thread be in the TV section? I didn't even realise the Bill was still on to be honest. Is that dopey copper Reg still in it?

That sound funnier in your head when you thought it up??

C'mon, simple really, even ignoring the semi-rhetorical question, if someone were as keen as mustard as you for Saturday's card - how much would it have cost them to watch it??

Keen as mustard?

All I did was post up the bill.

I was looking forward to Fury v Ustinov as the two of them are roughly the same height. Without that fight and given Chisora had already pulled out the whole thing became a shambles.

I have no love for Warren, look how he started out.

A couple of Hearn fanboys were having a pop at the card and they had never even heard of the well known fighters on it. That kind of ignorance needs to be rooted out.

Yes, but what's your answer to the question?

The card was pretty average, IMO, and nothing to get excited about (before all the pull-outs) but was ok. It was Hearn fanboys slating it, it was them digging you out for the fact you'd be slating Hearn for putting on a similar card - esp PPV.

Actually you muppet you was the one that decided people didn't know who was on the card. You then proceeded to defend said card to the hilt and refusing to acknowledge it was a domestic card at best and the reason it didn't do well is that it was priced as a superstar card.

On the back of that you proceeded to declare that Fury was a good draw despite all evidence to the contrary and refused to answer any questions on the matter, and when challenged went straight to insults. (Still waiting to here how you've come to the conclusion that I don't even know the basics.)

Fortunately most of us normal minded individuals don't care who the promoter is and state how we feel about certain fights/fighters. You on the other hand have such an irrational hatred of Eddie that you decide not to see this.

The card was a domestic card as I pointed out and even without Fury it was better that some of Hearn's cards. Matchroom's 2013 Christmas card was well below Warrens.

You seem to have a major problem differentiating between a subscription channel and a once off PPV event such as on Sky Box Office.

You numpty, go through one of the politics threads in the off topic section and you'll see how stupid you look.

Who needs to lie to an idiot like you, you went from 'how dare you run this card down it's well worth the money' to 'Yeah it's a domestic card but so what'

The problem with the card was the price (60 - 85 quid a ticket if I remember rightly)

Fury's a draw  Yahoo (Showing just how much you know there)

What next, Golovkin's avoiding everyone until you get that pointed out and then twist around again, oh wait you can see that here https://www.606v2.com/t54899-golovkin-boxing-s-best-puncher-since-tyson

Your a complete embarassment mate and if I had to guess your the least successful out of your circle of 'friends' and that's why you try to big yourself up on here.

Your only hope is to grasp onto this ridiculous notion that the people that disagree with you are plants/workers of matchmaker (at the moment,)

I'll tell you something though, if I was I'd be working my butt off to get this website as many tickets/interviews and articles as possible to help it grow. I'd also absolutely rub it in your face at every opportunity as I'd be making a lot more money with a lot more time at home than I am now.

Me, Dipper and Wheely HH.

We all work for the devil that is Eddie Hearn and his cult known as Matchroom
(for some reason I keep putting Matchmakers, think my head's telling me to go on a diet :-)

Our mission is to change this whole forums mind that Eddie is the second coming and saviour of all that is boxing (despite us stating at various times, bad cards, bad decisions.)

In fact due to us having a lower comment count than other people we can be dismissed as people that know absolutely nothing and therefore our opinion is invalid.

Nobody holds a candle to my tea and coffee,

Think your talking about yourself there. If you get all of your posts together you've got a cracking conspiracy theory.

The single loner sitting in his flat talking to his successful 'mates' (read teddies on the bed). Yes your correct Mr Wiggles Eddie Hearn is taking over the world, it's up to us to get to work. Bring out my Strongback costume.

The light shines of the aluminium helmet that shields out the matchroom rays as SB sits at his computer.
Time to tell the world and be loved Mr Wiggles he thinks

Fade to black - cut 5 hours in the future.
The dejected form of SB is slumped over his computer, Mr Wiggle's head is perched atop the monitor, his fluff thrown around the bedroom.

'Why will they not see what I know' SB screams as he thumps his fist onto the keyboard, (making more sense than he's typed in the prevailing 5 hours) 'It's that horrible Eddie Hearns fault, he must have plants in this forum' SB spends the next 16 hours going through each members indiviudal post counts before deciding he's found the 3 plants.

And so on and so forth.

BTW point out any point i've lied or made a mistake in my previous posts.

I've been called it before as well; mainly due to the fact myself, damien & hampo manage to get tickets to events and have defended him on a few occasions....purely of course because we get tickets and it's in our best interests...

Thus despite me being one of the first to slate Fury and say that he is overrated; regardless of the fact we speak to his uncle and Fury himself and interview him on a regular basis...oh and I have also publicly on here and on Twitter and on the podcasts declared my dislike for the Adrien Broner of UK boxing DeGale...but hey ho those facts are ignored!

They've got the magazine for this website to promote Strongy, also it lets them do better articles for the forum. While it doesn't matter to you as you watch every bit of boxing that's on. Some of us our unable (Pesky satellites, you'd think they'd be available in the middle of the oceans.) and they let us keep up to date.

They would have had to pay £10/12. For that they also get the greatest boxing coverage from around the world that one could imagine.

Personally I would subscribe to BoxNation if my TV platform supported it. I can't watch it on TV so I don't have it.

I would never pay solely to watch a domestic card. Most of these cards are on subscription channels anyway whether its BN or Sky.

Afternoon Strongy,

Are you saying you wouldn't pay solely to watch a domestic card on TV or are you talking about live as well?

Do you not think the tickets were overpriced for this event as well?

I will have to disagree with you there Strongy, the greatest boxing coverage is the one that shows the biggest domestic names. Very few are going to stay up all night to watch anybody but the absolute elite.

I wouldn't travel solely to watch a card of that quality.

I go to local pro cards although they are few and far between so its mostly amateur fights I attend.

Fair do's, I think it's got to be a major event for me to travel to a boxing event as when you tot up all the costs it's a fair whack, take into account that it could be cancelled at the last minute and it's a bit of a gamble for something that is a major luxury. (for me anyway Wink

How much are the boxing shows round near you (I'm sure you said you lived London/South way,)
A white collar event at a hotel in manchester is 60 quid a ticket  Shocked

While a Coldwell show has unreserved tickets from around 30ish+

The card was pretty average, IMO, and nothing to get excited about (before all the pull-outs) but was ok. It was Hearn fanboys slating it, it was them digging you out for the fact you'd be slating Hearn for putting on a similar card - esp PPV.

The card was a domestic card as I pointed out and even without Fury it was better that some of Hearn's cards.  Matchroom's 2013 Christmas card was well below Warrens.

You seem to have a major problem differentiating between a subscription channel and a once off PPV event such as on Sky Box Office.

You still haven't answered the question though, have you? Stop squirming AzStrongy and answer the question, if someone rated the card as highly as you and wanted to watch it - how much would they have had to pay??

They would have had to pay £10/12.  For that they also get the greatest boxing coverage from around the world that one could imagine.

Incorrect, there's a registration fee also.

So regardless of how you look at it, it's PPV if someone wanted to watch this card. Which is the point. This is an average domestic-level card of barely moderate interest - which is why selling it as a big international boxing promotion (with sky-high ticket prices and, effectively, PPV) is poor and worse than what you slate Eddie for doing.
