The dreams and dangers for every club in the Premier League this season
Aston Villa
Dream: To avoid relegation.
Danger: Making eye contact with Roy Keane.
Burnley
Dream: That a non-Burnley fan can name three of their players by the end of the season.
Danger: Opponents asking, "Is this a real match?"
Chelsea
Dream: Being able to play two goalkeepers at the same time.
Danger: All of their strikers getting injured. Except Fernando Torres.
Everton
Dream: Finishing in the top four.
Danger: That Jose Mourinho sold them the Romelu Lukaku from the World Cup instead of the one they had on loan last season.
Hull City
Dream: To convince someone to buy Shane Long for £12 million. So, you know, job done.
Danger: That Southampton actually gave them £12 million in counterfeit Monopoly money.
Liverpool
Dream: That Luis Suarez scoring 31 goals last season was only preventing Raheem Sterling from scoring 40.
Danger: Steven Gerrard attempting to prevent another crucial slip by burying himself up to his knees in the middle of the pitch every game. And Kolo Toure.
Manchester United
Dream: New manager Louis van Gaal restoring the club's honor and place atop the Premier League.
Danger: That former manager David Moyes becomes a Phantom of the Opera type figure at Old Trafford and takes up residence in the bowels of the stadium.
Southampton
Dream: That everyone is dumb and selling many of your best players is actually a good thing.
Danger: That they're not and it isn't.
West Ham
Dream: That Andy Carroll learns how to make omelets so he can actually do something useful.
Danger: Salmonella poisoning.

Three truths. Well, two plus last weekends nightmare.

I'd say one, considering Burnley are doing ok and Lukaku has got Everton as the only British side progressing in Europe so far

It's called 'dreams & dangers of every club in the PL', that means in relation to PL performances. Lukaku has been awful in the PL this season, if you want to cream you pants over him scoring against minnows & lower quality teams in the Europa, then so be it. Doesn't hide what a poor signing, in general, for the money he has been for Everton.

No, actually, that's not what that sentence means. Dreams and dangers of clubs in the premier league would be the dreams of the clubs that are in it, not their dreams for what they can achieve in the Premier League this year. They've also banked on the fee and his age plus potential. He's still got 15 goals this season, it's enough to make it reasonable, especially if he goes at that rate. Considering how poor Everton have been im not too surprised it's not been a hot season for him.

He's scored one third of his total goals this season in two games against Young Boys. Yeah, £28m well spent Roberto.

You've got that Chelsea defensiveness against him, Mourinho's can't have given up on a talent, he's just made a smart move on a disappointing player. Lukaku still a good price, that value won't depreciate

I was over the moon when I saw Everton fans on twitter commenting on Lukaku the same way we did. He is not gonna be a great striker. He only plays well on loan.
