Morning. Has anyone used the above site? I can't seem to find anywhere on it to actually find the tickets.

Thanks

Yep, I'm in a queue as well.

Although as the big games are all going to be balloted, presumably there actually isn't much point in me waiting in the queue and I could just apply any time later in the month?

The website says it's NOT first come first served, and if a game is over-subscribed it will go to a ballot, so no, I don't think there is any point waiting in a queue.

I think all the games I want to go to will be over-subscribed, so am thinking of just trying to go for all of them. Bank balance might take a dent if I get lucky though! It does say there will be a method of selling back the tickets, but that wont be launched until Spring 2015. I guess it will be a bit like the olympic tickets

Put my ticket applications in. Going smoothly now. At least the ballot system means the system won't sh!t itself.

Good luck gents, hope you get the tickets you're after. Just save one seat at the final for me Very Happy

I wish us all the very best of luck with the tickets for Eng HQ games. I have a feeling we are all going to get screwed. Only 20,000 tickets are available for each England game out of 80,000. And cyber-touts are apparently all over the ballot process.

Quick question - does applying for 4 instead of 2 or even 1, reduce your chances in the ballot?

Or do they just keep drawing names and checking of however many seats that person wanted?

If you apply for 4/5 different matches and by some chance win tickets to them all, can you turn them down? Or are you only meant to apply for the ones you can afford to go to?

Exactly Golden, or say on a given day, should you apply to a big game, but also apply for a minor game as a backup in case you don't get big game tickets.

Then if you do get the big game tickets, can you give back the other ones. Can't be in two cities on same day!

Yea, resale will be possible

"No, once your seats are allocated you will not be able to exchange them for alternative seats. An official resale programme will be available on our website from early 2015 which will enable you to sell any unwanted tickets to other fans at face value."

So as long as you have the cash spare, you may as well apply for as many big games as you can. You will probably resell handy enough if you’ve overspent.

With the deadline being 6pm on 29th September, I'm hoping they'll use the last day and half and tell us prompt on October 1st. If not then keep an eye on you bank account and if several hundred squids vanish then you've probably been successful.

When applying it does say that if successful you must have enough funds to pay for all applied for but I guess if like me most are applying for a bunch then get money of friends etc.

"Sometime in October" is the official line - and is pretty darn vague! Do they have doubt over their process or something? Surely it can be calculated a little more accurately than... 'maybe in a few days... maybe in 30 days... it'll be a surprise!'

I didn't apply for any due to the pricing.

I've checked mine. Nothing has come out yet.

I'm pretty sure every game I applied for would have gone to a ballot, which I doubt they've done yet, so I think Clive has either got tickets for a game that didn't go to a ballot, or his missus dropped a few quid on some shoes without him knowing and is about to be very disappointed Very Happy

If you just want the tier 1 games then yes you are going to have to pay top price but if you just want to go and watch a game of rugby involving teams you may not normally see then there are some good deals out there.

The website said you had to make sure that you had money in your bank at the end of October to cover any tickets that you successfully get.

Went for all the England games, not cheapest ones either! I will be both ecstatic and a bit scared at the bill if I get any Smile Price isn't all that bad compared to what I paid for the RWC 07 semi to some kiwis for their tickets.

Does anyone know if the tickets for England games are largely corporate/club and just a handful for general sale as per usual?

I think I heard that the England games at Twickers have aroud 20,000 tickets available via the ballott accross all price categories. The rest have gone to the rugby clubs, corporate and 'partners' including schools etc.

Here's the full email:

Thank you for applying for Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets.

The ticket application window has now closed and we have begun processing all applications.

Over the next few weeks we will be running ballots for each of the oversubscribed matches and price categories, ensuring that all tickets are fairly allocated. Our aim is to ensure that as many fans as possible get tickets for the Tournament.

We will notify you regarding the success of your ticket application before the end of October, in advance of any payment being taken. Payment for successful applications will start to be taken from Monday October 27, 2014.

Any remaining tickets will go back on general sale in November 2014.

If you have any queries relating to your application, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions.

Kind regards,

Rugby World Cup 2015 Ticketing Team

So it sounds like we'll know if we're successful before the 27th and they wont take any payment until after the 27th. That's good as I don't have to keep checking my balance every 5 mins to see if I've got anything!
