Home streak
Yesterday NZ recorded their 36th consecutive home victory. They last lost at home to SA in 2009 (both tests including The House of Pain and lost the other match in SA).
I read that this was a record but can't seem to find any other nations' stats in this regard. I'd imagine SA have had a healthy consecutive home streak but the fact that consecutive Grand Slams in the 6N are rarer than hens' teeth means that any such record is unlikely there.
I'd be grateful if anybody could provide me with their respective nation's best home stretch.

Re: Home streak
This website is pretty useful.
http://www.rugbydata.com/
You can get all the results for any team and display up to 100 at once.
Should be easy to work out the best home streak with a scan.

Re: Home streak
If you don't include games against the Barbarians then England is 20 games.
Starting with Ireland in Feb 2000 and ending with France in Sep 2003

Re: Home streak
Nice one! Thanks for that. No surprise to me that was England's best sequence. 20 games over five seasons though seems not many games.

Re: Home streak
The burning sense of shame.
Thanks again. An impressive run no doubt with a fair measure of healthy scores thrown in there.

It's only taken Wales the last 6 years to lose 38 games
That does include away games too though

Re: Home streak
Is it true that the ABs have only lost one of their past 42 tests? Really? What a bunch of w@nkers!

I guess it depends on how you consider drawing with Aus.

Re: Home streak
Those two draws against Australia hurt more than those 4 losses.
