Roman Gonzalez at #2 is a bit punchy, did Ricardo Lopez ever get that level of recognition?

Bradley definitely too high as always and I don't think Estrada has done any better than Mikey Garcia.

Ward beats all the other champions and this guy's number 8....and is behind some minimum weight/Fly guy who's competition is questionable at best.

If Ward is in a list he's 2nd with Rigo 3rd....

Wlad deserves a place too...Bradley is too high...

On the one hand I would have Ward at 2 or 3 in a close rotating battle with Rigo, on the other I would exclude him altogether for not having a meaningful fight for 2 years with nothing in the pipeline. IF Bradley is in it’s by the skin of his teeth.

I'd move Gonzalez down a few spots; he's top ten without doubt now, but I'm not sure I'd have him in the top five. Superb fighter but the really low weights don't tend to have as much outright quality as the others, particularly in the days where some of them are separated by just 3 lb.

Truss, to be fair Ward's inactivity has to be a concern. I don't think him being at three is a disservice to him - just that if anyone should be separating him and Floyd it should really be Rigondeaux for me, rather than Gonzalez. Wladimir should be in as far as I can see, Froch maybe a shade too high (although I can see a case for him being at number ten, say) but you're never going to get anything close to universal agreement on this kind of thing.

Interesting that Marquez is still quielty holding down a top ten spot for a lot of people without really being noticed all that much. Realistically, past forty and having lost to Bradley, is he still one of the best in the world? Good performance against Alvarado, but Alvarado sure as hell isn't in the highest class and even if he was, his style was made to order for someone like Marquez.

Can see the appeal of keeping him in as things stand, because him flattening Pacquiao was only a couple of fights ago for him and he's consistently been one of the best technicians in the sport for years and years now.....But treading water these days?

Ward's inactivity means 3 instead of 2.. I don't get that argument..

P4p list is a list of current active fighters..

He is or he isn't !!!

Hence it's 2 or nothing.....His talent bar is as high as Rigo's and his CV is miles better..

For me it is 2 to 3 or nothing Truss. The trouble is he hasn’t retired, he’s just very inactive so it’s really hard to exclude a fighter altogether that’s officially still in the game, in their prime, and probably hasn’t slipped. We’d all expect him to win comfortably against a big name in his next fight so to exclude him seems like a giant leap mentally. He's probably 3 for me based on the talents still there, ready to go, but he's not shown it enough lately to push above Rigo if that makes sense.
