Brit In World Title Challenge This Weekend.
First topic message reminder :
Doesn't seem to be much talk but Stuart Hall could actually become two time World Champ this weekend if he can beat Randy Caballero in Monte Carlo.
Not seen much of Caballero but how often does Golden Boy loose purse bids for there fighters? Not sure if they have much confidence in him or whether they think he can deliver the goods with miniminal effort on there part.
Hope Stuey does it!
Anyone seen much of Caballero?

118-109... Isn't even out of the ballpark. Every single round was so phucking close.

What he do King?
Haven't caught this card as i'm watching the Hull card; Campbell very impressive....showdown with Coyle could be a an absolute dust up next year.
Re: Brit In World Title Challenge This Weekend.
Caba looked slicker, throughout the fight but I'm not sure how much landed. Sometimes, looking good is more important than actually landing. I thought it was closer than the tv guys and the judges. 118-110 from the Brit judge? Harsh, but I guess you can think the rounds are close but that one guys won them all.
Whichever, the cards are harsh on hall. Unlike hammy, thought it was a good fight, of its type, and I'm no fan of phone booth fights normally.

Campbell will take Coyle to the cleaners. Luke reminds me of Khan, lightening quick, but does not appear to have the chin issues Khan has. Coyle is tough and brave but Campbell is class.

Re: Brit In World Title Challenge This Weekend.
I think Coyle has the heart to dig in and keep him more than honest; but as you say his class will ultimately show. Did think he rushed in a bit tonight once he had him hurt, however that is something which he isn't usually guilty of. Picks his shot's beautifully & has lovely variation.
Just to be a bit picky, can sometimes fall short on his punches more than he probably should..not sure if that's just perhaps a case of taking a while to warm up or maybe a lack of world class footwork to put him in range we shall see as he keeps stepping up. Overall though very exciting journey to follow.
With the likes of Campbell, Frampton, Brook to follow over the next few years it's safe to say British Boxing could explode on the world scene.

Murray needs to disassemble Spada if he wants anyone to think he has a chance at GGG

Murray looking good. Very athletic, good footwork. Will definitely give GGG a fight. Would probably beat Cotto too.

Didn't think Katsidis had much in the tank anyhow, but certainly didn't expect him to be stopped in that fashion. Fantastic punch.

The guy was 3-4 going in and you'd think Derry Matthews sloppy seconds had beaten Tommy Hearns according to the worst commentator in Boxing history..

I've always back Eddie Hearn but that sentence right then concerns me ... 'two of the best lightweights' in the world...could we possibly be looking at Coyle vs Campbell PPV?!

"You're" in a good mood....
I drink every three or so months and I've drunk tonight.............I get p***ed off when I drink....Makes me homesick...
But I stick by my points..

Never seen anyone care so little about being punched in the face as Katsidis. Time to call it a day now. Nobody needs to get KOed like that.

I haven't advanced for years ..I'm like Napoleon at Waterloo............
Say one thing for Murray he'd give GGG a go.............Unlike that waste of space at the weekend..

Andrew Mikail a good old school Manager. You can tell he's lying because he's mouths moving. "Martin was outstanding tonight, didn't lose a round. He's the Floyd Mayweather of the middleweights, can't be touched"...

Murray looked fine. Not world beating, but he was in with a rugged opponent. Guy was dirty the whole night. Still was never in any real danger, and if he does get GGG will be a good fight between the top two middleweights in the world for me

I'm feeling a little gist....
Something about Halling makes a crap bill ten times crapper..
Not seen a Brit yet that Sugar Ray Leonard could hold a candle to....Then there is woodhall on C5 who's already got Murray stopping GGG probably..
Geez..

If Murray is second best It doesn't make much sense for him to fight GGG with three other belts on offer..

Brizuela was in a fight of the year contender with Coyle not long back so a very decent guy to face in your 9th fight. Not seen the fight so won't comment any more than that.

Well two of those three are in the States and he can't get in, can he?
No idea of what's happening with WBO, but Murray signed with Golden Gloves to get a title shot, this is it. Can't really go anywhere else.

It was his 16th fight to be pedantic and in the context of the heavyweight division it was a very good win.

Re: Brit In World Title Challenge This Weekend.
Anyway, I think he'll give Golovkin a good fight. Moves well, very technically sound, only problem is he has pillow hands, and I think eventually he'll get walked down (as an aside, how crocked was Martínez for this guy to knock him down twice?).
Also, is Murray a converted southpaw? does seem to adopt that stance quite often, and he crosses his legs a bit too, which indicates a change which didn't really go smoothly. Plus he's right hand is the quite soft. Softer than his left for sure. Can only assume he converted?

Hearns looked ordinary against Sutherland before he destroyed Duran..S**T happens..
Seeing Witherspoon labor to a ko 7 against a crummy cruiser in Ratcliff didn't inspire anybody..and then he lost in my opinion to Snipes...
You haven't seen these fights have you ??.............
Holmes did..That's why he fought him..
