Great NY Times Article on Hopkins
Wonderful piece here - the best thing I've ever read on Hopkins: http://mobile.nytimes.com/2014/11/02/magazine/bernard-hopkins-boxings-oldest-and-most-cunning-champion.html?partner=socialflow&smid=tw-nytmag&_r=2&referrer=

Really good piece. He is unbelievable. To still be competitive at the top level at his age is unthinkable, but yet he's there. Really looking forward to his fight with Kovalev, could be a frustrating night for Kova unless he can somehow knock Bernard off his game! Almost impossible I'd imagine...

His advice to Ward offers an interesting perspective on SOG's current situation.

The article was more interesting than watching him fight

It was a good article, but a little self involved for my liking. I do hate it when sports journos turn armchair philosophers

Take your point raf. When they do features I think they believe its their job to be a philosopher... And to use a few words that will have their readers reaching for a dictionary... Which is my pet hate. This guy fell foul of that but not to mcilvanney levels, and I thought he gave insight into what makes Bhop tick. But hey it's each to their own on these things.

Indeed, it certainly wasn't awful, or unpalatable, just feel that a story like Hopkins is good enough on its own, and certainly doesn't need a road to Damascus narrative, especially an overt one, as the facts present that themselves.
I'm probably just a little grouchy though. On Wednesday I put together a stunning vignette and lead story for prime time news, and the news reader bungled it. I still haven't gotten over it.

I share your pain. Yesterday at a dinner party, I put together a stunning vinaigrette, but it hit an iceberg and went down like the titanic.
