A bit harsh Saint....but every loss is the refs fault as far as you are concerned...Ref was fine..

Ref gave Munster too much respect imo and there was at least 2 occurrences where it should have been a pen to the Blues at scrum time.

How so? Just like to see fairness that's all. Like rewarding scrum dominance and giving a penalty when Munster clearly snatch the ball from an offside position, and penalising Munster for going in at the side after spending a good 40 minutes for penalising Blues for apparently 'going in from the side.'

Re: Cardiff Blues v Munster, 1 November
you knew Munster were going to do it They always do against the welsh teams ('cept Ospreys). Likewise, after the first half you knew Blues were going to try their best to gift Munster 3 easy points after every score they got. they seemed determined to do it. The coaches have to be apopleptic.

Nonsense. The Blues are the thickest team I've seen in a long while. They handed Munster that on a plate.

Re: Cardiff Blues v Munster, 1 November
Dominance wasnt enough to award the penalty try...that was clear. Once Guinazou came on and added bulk and the Cardiff Loosehead was checked for illegal scrumaging it was clear the strategy was risky....
Anyhow whatever your having yourself....Refs fault blah blah...points in the bag...cheers.

Always the ref......
I would rate Mitrea as second best ref in the league after Owens. Why a Romanian ref would be favourable to Munster against a Welsh team ....in Wales. I don't know....

Ah here we go, I knew it wouldn't be long before a one eyed rabble of munster fans showed up and started telling us how their homer ref cost them like 30 points.

There's like one Blues fan on here so not sure where you're coming from. For a bunch who always claim to be best behaved fans you ain't half biased and full of s**t.

Think you'd be best taking a moment to calm down rather than continuing to post in this vein.

It's alright I'm calm . I actually find it hilarious how the Welsh are told on a weekly basis that they're always blaming the ref yet when Irish, Scottish and English mention the ref there's no problem what so ever. For me I actually find it's V2s Scottish contingent that whinge about the ref the most. But that's just my opinion.

Re: Cardiff Blues v Munster, 1 November
Heartbroken for Blues - really didn't deserve to lose but those red zone mistakes were death by a thousand cuts. When I saw Dan Fish pick up the Hanrahan corkscrew kick and then dance a jig on the spot whilst waiting for 3 Munster loose forwards to hand him his backside, I shouted at the screen.
Don't think that the refereeing was too bad. The only thing I wasn't clear about was why you would give four consecutive penalties at a 15m scrum and yet not award the penalty try.

Yeah exactly George, that's what happens when the ref is in your back pocket but try telling that to the Munster official .

Agree,
Can see why he didn't give the PT, but it was a judgement call

Re: Cardiff Blues v Munster, 1 November
Cardiff only themselves to blame dreadful defending for the last try. Vdh ran through 5 pathetic tackles. At this level you just can't get away with that. Blaming the ref is just silly.
Foley bringing the dog back into Munster. Winning these tight hard fought matches will bring huge confidence to the squad.
JJ class apart from that missed tough around 65 mins

Great game blues gave away far too many turnovers and penalties but they are showing some positive signs though. Good performance by that lad on the wing...! Very promising.

Tal Selley ; now working at Milford Haven oil refinery.....
Blues gave away ridiculous points and really lacked ability to break Munster's line in midfield. Both wingers looked good, need to stop the Blues crabbing and running down the space for them.
Ref was ok - you win some you lose some - I though Patchells pass for the try was forward ; but can't for the life of me however understand how the ref can give 3 straight 5 metre scrum penalties against Munster on their line and not issue a yellow card or a penalty try on the 3rd scrum penalty which was going forward rapidly - how would the Blues have not scored ? If he decides its a third consecutive penalty ( rightly or wrongly ) then he does need to follow the protocols. Its not a judgement call.

So all in all, it was worth starting a match thread for this game?

I think 'the ref' will make it to the play-offs. I know he always does and that's probably suspicious...but at least he's consistent in being a cheatin' bollix and always getting to the final.

I didnt get a chance to see this, but I can claim "we wuz robbed" right?
Did the ref have any Irish family? Cousins? Removed cousins? Ex-wife? Clearly.
Typical Irish, cheating the welsh regions out of victory using a Romanian ref.
Adam's drop goal though, the fact he even tried it and his reaction shows the character of the guy.

Defo need a Richie Rees or a Jason Spice at SH and Patchell back at 10 would be nice. Also, wasn't there talk of us getting a punchy 12? Good performance from the pack I thought. Top notch ushering for Munner's last try however.
Getting better anyway, which is nice.
