Rangers Sign Norwegian Twins From Man City
Rangers have completed the signings of Norwegian twin brothers Tom and Kim Skogsrud.
The defensive pair, 18, have moved to the club from Manchester City and have signed two-year contracts with Ally McCoist’s team.
“We shall be playing primarily with the under-19s this year,” Tom Skogsrud told Nettavisen. “We hope to train with the first team and possibly sit on the bench for the first team during the season.”
Both will join Rangers for pre-season training and in July and, having left Manchester City, are currently staying fit by training with former club Skeid in Norway.
Left-back Tom and central defender Kim both spent time on trial at Murray Park in March.
“We are both good, ball-playing defensive players,” said Kim Skogsrud. “We both like to get on the ball and can pass well.”

Ones for the future the old firm do this a lot and we never see the players.

If a few more come to Carlisle then I'm happy for the Old Firm to continue signing "ones for the future." We've currently got Rory Loy who you signed from Kilmarnock and played twice, but I don't see why we shouldn't try taking more of your players and giving them their chance in English football.

Swindon took a few from Celtic as well. They took Ferry and Cuthbert.

Would have thought Carlisle would be more appealing than Swindon, they're now getting relegated we'll still be in League One, plus the location of Carlisle should be useful, our fans often complain because we know we get rejected by players who have family down in the south, but it should be good for attracting players from the Scottish leagues.

Hope that isn't true he was meant to be a real talent.

If he was a real talent then that probably explains why he left the SPL (no offence intended).

Re: Rangers Sign Norwegian Twins From Man City
He was supposedly a very talented boy. He would probably have turned 18 starting going out drinking and never became the player he should have. That's what most do.

Probably, happens to most guys in Scotland, if he's away he'll be away from his pals and out of glasgow so has a chance.

Well I assumed because you said taken from Celtic, he would either have played in the SPL, or be likely to in the near future. I doubt moving to London is likely to cut down how much he goes out.

More importantly, will City give us Weiss as well??
Pleased we're signing up young defenders, but I'd be happier to see McCoist buy a couple of older more experienced ones.
