Borg or Ibrahimovic
Hello
Has anyone seen this?
Apparently Ibra was a bit miffed that some Swedish dude ranked Borg ahead of him in the greatest sporting Swede's of all time.

I like Ibra. I think he's a great footballer. A fantastic player - better than any English attacking player since.. well probably ever. But greater than Borg?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I said NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You arrogant fool, how dare you!!!
Borg was a phenom.. the ice man, cool as a cucumber.. and he didn't even need to try.
So what do y'all make of this?

I can see why Zlatan was annoyed when you compare what the pair have won but then again i always preffered Henrik Larsson so i have no issue with Borg over Ibra. Re: Borg or Ibrahimovic
Borg was a global superstar and the best tennis player in the world. I don't think Zlatan has ever been considered the absolute best as Messi and Ronaldo have both clearly outshined him. I don't know why Zlatan would be peed as Borg is considered one of the handful of best tennis players in history and again I don't think Zlatan as great as he is can make the same boast about football. Great footballer, and absolute legend but Borg is more accomplished and was a bigger phenom in terms of appeal during the 70s than Zlatan is, he was an absolute rock star globally.

Re: Borg or Ibrahimovic
The fact that Borg is considered so highly in the sporting world 30 years after he retired shows the impact he had.
Ibra is superb. Technically amazing, particularly given his size, and is in a group amongst the best strikers in the world over the last couple of decades, but he will not be spoken of with the same reverance as Borg in 30 years time.

Re: Borg or Ibrahimovic
Is there anyone out there, tennis fan or not, who has never heard of Borg? He has to be among the most iconic sportsman in history and the greatest export Sweden has ever produced.
I lived through his era and he deserves the recognition he has received and then some. Im sorry to confess that I have never even heard of Zlatan (hang my head)

Re: Borg or Ibrahimovic
Is it really a contest?
Borg still stands in probably the top five tennis players of all time and he retired over thirty years ago. On the other hand I honestly would not put Ibrahimovic in my all-timall-time top twenty footballers never mind top five.

Re: Borg or Ibrahimovic
Agree Craig. Ibrahimovic wouldn't be in the top 50 footballers of all time. So how can he be compared to Borg who is top 5 (at worst) in his sport?
Merry Christmas all by the way.
