Nonu and Manoa to Toulo are confirmed moves aren't they?
Armitage to play for England at the RWC is a hefty rumour! Could result in a move back to AP possibly?

yes they are (as well as Saints prop Ma'afu)
if you like silly transfer rumours with 75% of them not likely to happen at all, there is plenty in here (for t14 teams only but they also report stories like the Priestland to bath move) , about half of the world team of the year seem linked to Toulon...

Re: Silly Season transfer rumours.....
Genia won't join Bath. He's signed a pre contract but is pulling out so Stade are paying the compensation and we have signed Matawalu instead.
Vermuelen was rumoured to join Bath but is joining Toulon instead and Bath are looking at Kaino instead.
Homer strongly rumoured to join with Arscott and Henson leaving

fonua another name being talked about.

Well, there's Gopperth to Wasps - but I sincerely bloody well hope not
He will do nothing to get our back line moving
There's at least one more season in Goode, Rhubarb to come back and Lozowski developing nicely. Miller can fill in at 10 too.

Correct Sam - Ruaridh Jackson. He was pretty impressive when he got game time.
Rhubarb was the nickname given him by Glasgow fans. They like their player nicknames north of the border. Read the 1872 cup thread. It's a quite amusing.

I'd quite possibly have to change my underwear if Kaino came through. Probably the blindside I rate highest in world rugby and a perfect fit for what Tigers need in the back row. I can't really see him giving up his AB jersey this soon after reclaiming it with a Lions tour coming in 2017.
Wouldn't complain about Alberts either though...
Fonua would need to lose some serious weight to reach the work rate he'd need in the Tigers pack.

What's the driving force behind Fearns wanting to move on?
Is he looking for a change of environment after all the injuries? When fit he seems to get a starting role back with Bath. Plus they are in prime position to put him in the window for International honours.

You know Kaino will be 32 this season and 34 when the lions tour is on, high possibility he might not be the all blacks 6/8 even then,

Re: Silly Season transfer rumours.....
Hes not a young English lad in the England squad though Welly.
Falcons site forum saying he is just cover...and by god we need a strong scrummaging LH which he can play by all accounts.
What makes me laugh though is that people on there actually think Eric Fry is a good acquisition and will become a very good prop.....

Re: Silly Season transfer rumours.....
By all accounts he is a TH...but he is equally comfortable at LH and played mostly there in his three year stint in france.
Sounds just like what we need...but ill wait and see how he performs.
EDIT - PLus Brookes will be away with England quite a bit now...and Orlandi wont be on international duty I guess.

Re: Silly Season transfer rumours.....
Will Brookes still be in the England squad with Dan Cole back and doing the business at scrum time again?
Orlandi could be the other side of the scrum Falcons need. To be fair to Fry he looks good in the loose he just needs to learn how to scrummage and Orlandi might be able to help him a bit there.

Re: Silly Season transfer rumours.....
I would think so yes Sam...
Wilson, Cole and Brookes would be a very good 3 props.
Yes Fry does look good in the loose....but he's a prop. That should be his No.1 job = to scrummage.
We shall see how the coaches work with him.

Re: Silly Season transfer rumours.....
True he's as much use as a chocolate frying pan at the minute but there's potential there.
Brookes may well be in the wider squad but probably third choice so released back to Falcons for the weekend games. Post the RWC I can see Brookes ousting Wilson but don't think Lancaster will go for that pre tournament. Experience proving to be an asset at the RWC.

I hadn't realised he was over 30 in all honesty no Welly. In that case perhaps it could happen. As said he'd be about the perfect acquisition I can think of for the Tigers back row given coming would also remove him of International commitments.
The wage he'd demand would surely require him taking one of the marquee slots though which would leave 2 of the front row trio who just resigned to fit in the cap.

The cap goes up 500K and if Parling were to leave and we didn't get the like for like cap?
But if Bath is after him as a marquee player cant see us winning.

Tom Croft to Gloucester
Parling I think is tempted because he is good friends with Waldrom, it would be a very clever signing for the Chiefs IMO.
Mike Williams would be an odd one, hasn't really dug up trees at Wuss. But could be a long term developer.

Re: Silly Season transfer rumours.....
Croft won't go to Glous (Not in a million years) nor will Glous want him he will be a big ticket item and Glous back row is near perfect anyway. Croft won't go to another AP IMO he is Leicester born and bred it will either be a new contract or France.
Parling I feel is more to do with Length and price, and Leicester maybe not giving in. (ALA Moody)
Mike Williams seems to like by the Glous lot, he is a more aggressive lock which we need ATM.

Not that I know him personally, but he is certainly second choice at both 8 and 6 (arguably 2/3 at 6), so a move might make sense to get more game time. Of course he has been really unlucky with injuries and to me he isn't the same player now. He seems to have spent every rehab eating and pushing weights and seems to have lost a bit of dynamism.

HKC Might disagree but I don't think that the Gloucs back row is anywhere hear perfect. Kalamafoni is nt the player he was at 6. Why are you so certain Croft won't leave for Gloucs?
