Re: ERCC: Pool 4, Round 6 - Bath Rugby v Glasgow Warriors
It was flat. Been said already but Glasgow need to get points everytime they visit the 22. Ball security and presentation in contact is what's leading to the knockons/balls going loose. I reckon they should grubber in behind to the corners more, bath wingers are generally quite high in defense.

Who will be the fittest? Who will have the best bench impact?
Baths discipline very good as well. Glasgow with a fair amount of ball in their 22 and no pens given away. That is good.

And you have Bananaman - the worlds most ponderous winger.

tj are you watching the same game?
bath looked far more dangerous to me. which team conceded all the penalties trying to slow the ball down?
weegies have had 2 great lineout moves, and a lot of great defense. not much else.
scrum weakness, plus tired legs, are going to mean watson, eastmond, banahan and agulla are going to threaten more and more. imo of course.

The thing is i don't think Welsh will improve things much at scrum time.

Really - I think your telly is upside down
Weegies have taken them apart attack and defense. Bath have only made progress up field from pens. Everytime they get the ball glasgow push them backweards
I agree fitness will be key. Eastmonds off isn't he? So he won't do much in the rest of the game and Bananaman is so so its not funny. glasgow are used to playing at this pace - are Bath?

Re: ERCC: Pool 4, Round 6 - Bath Rugby v Glasgow Warriors
i meant joseph obviously, who is having a really strong game. best bath player in the first half.
no idea who is fittest, but at this pace it does feel like there are going to be spaces opening up as the game goes on. especially for teams who have the guts to attack from deep.

Yup - the only bath player who looks dangerous to me.quinsforever wrote:i meant joseph obviously, who is having a really strong game. best bath player in the first half.

Both teams will give that a try I guess. Glasgow Already have twice.
This is going to be a good test of Ford as well - Glasgow are so good at closing the space he is going to have to make the right decisions and quickly with a Glasgow player right in his face. If he comes thru this well he is going to increase his standing. Glasgows defense is one of the best around and is based around rushing and denying space

Eh? Glasgow have made 3 clean breaks to Bath's 1. How is that more dangerous?

Bath - 7 phases on the 22 - 5 m made, pen Glasgow as they run out of numbers and hold on. No hint of a real break

Should Fraser Brown just play at 7 more instead of Hooker?

2 from the back of a lineout which i already gave credit for. and bath had several breaks. watson. agulla. joseph. whether they get technically defined as clean breaks i will leave to the statisticians.madmaccas wrote:quinsforever wrote:tj are you watching the same game?

Re: ERCC: Pool 4, Round 6 - Bath Rugby v Glasgow Warriors
except i would have given the pen to bath. tackler did not release the player and was lying on top of him with hands on the ball. lacey may be consistently lenient but i am always red hot on that against defending teams.TJ wrote:Bath - 7 phases on the 22 - 5 m made, pen Glasgow as they run out of numbers and hold on. They don't. How's this then, 179 to 138 meters run?

PRAISE THY TMO!
Yes, I said it. But that would've been a crime to disallow that.
Unlucky with the conversion.

glasgow going to get themselves in trouble at the breakdown.
good decision by the tmo, but naka neednt have done it as it was petulant and on the bath side of the ruck and the ball was on glasg's side. risky.

bath seem to have a real problem catching the ball from kickoff. was the same against toulouse last week. bit strange.
