Closer? Manny and Floyd meet... again.
First topic message reminder :
http://www.espn.go.com/extra/boxing/story?storyId=12242720&src=desktop&wjb
"Hours after a public face-to-face meeting and brief
discussion during halftime of Tuesday night's Miami
Heat-Milwaukee Bucks game in Miami, Manny
Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. met privately
for more than an hour to continue discussing terms
for their proposed May 2 megafight."
Interesting news I suppose. First time they've ever met, now theyre having dinner dates in hotel rooms. Somewhat surprised by how passive Manny seems to be about his career, but given the c0ck up which Arum and his accountants have created with his taxes, completely oblivious to him.. maybe I shouldn't have been.

I could post up a video of Scots-English to demonstrate my point but won't bother considering you are a faux Brit or as I believe you would be called in Scotland an Anglo.

Its more about a lack of respect for all things English's in the past. Simply why bother me bey the rules of the language of an aggressive occupier.
When I am on a forum I dont care if my English is technically correct. I wouldn't be the first to hold this view. As every body has an automatic spelling checker your spell checking is nothing more than than the work of a dullard.

Re: Closer? Manny and Floyd meet... again.
James Joyce's Finegan's Wake apparently has 9000 grammatical errors:
Here is an example from the book's opening lines, with changes highlighted:
1939 original: "riverrun, past Eve and Adam’s, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs."
2010 revision: "riverrun, past Eve and Adam’s, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodious vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle Environs."
Seem the Joyce genius didn't extend to mundane spelling and grammer checking.
I suppose he didn't have as much pride in the brilliance of the English language as some of the dolts on this board.

It's 'Finnegans Wake'. Been a while since I tried to read it and gave up (life's too short) but I believe Joyce left the apostrophe out of 'Finnegans' to retain some ambiguity as to the meaning of the title itself.

Fine work. Anyway, here's hoping when we all (apart from strongy and truss who'll be here verbally golden showering each other all weekend) get back on on Monday we'll have the big fight to talk about. Again.
Wonder if anything new will be said that hasn't been said in the last 5 years?
Have a good weekend all.

After each joint I attempted and she resisted, until the 5th one which was fatal. Once she had the 5th one she had no objections to my sitting on her face.

Personally I think they've agreed to fight in September, which is high risk regarding maximizing earnings if either were to lose. Would still be massive though and they know it.

The last thing I read about the fight was that Showtime and HBO still had to finish their negotiations. However, that may be old news as I try not to follow this potential fight too much. They should have completed a trilogy by now.

Only in America could you invent a sport, be the only ones to play it (pretty much) and announce the winners as "World Champions". Would rather stick hot pins down my japseye than sit through a sport played by men who have to wear more protection than your standard frontline army soldier.
Apparently HBO are digging their heels in who gets the replay. Not sure what the issue is as the winner of Tyson vs Lewis got to show the replay.... Or they could both show it.
