I agree John Wayne. I'm at a wedding the night of GGG's fight and wanted to witness live if he think Murray is a "good boy" or not.

Re: Upcoming Fights
Ormond Flanagan is a good match up, I'm intrigued as to whether Murray can stem the tide of golovkin for a while at least. Walsh Murray might be a decent tussle, Eubanks opponent at least looks like a fair test.
Not a lot to get the pulse racing on there really. Great frampton is on mainstream tv, but it doesn't look the best fight to showcase him with.

Re: Upcoming Fights
I love:
Ormond vs Flanagan ("Turbo" Terry to win a decision)
Murray vs Walsh (Murray to spring an upset here - desperate man)
Also keen on Patterson vs Foot and can't wait to watch Frampton and Golovkin on council TV.

Not my wedding thankfully. I will be well boozed by that stage and glued to my phone looking for updates on here about the fight.

Re: Upcoming Fights
Murray isn't a bad long odds bet against GGG. Last I heard he was something like 18-1 for the win. Which seemed really long odds for a fight.
Truss, I don't know which fights of his you watched but he seems to raise his game for the big fights. But, he is always in good condition, is big at the weight (in his last fight he looked like a LHW), got a good defence and reasonable all round ability. I think he'll take GGG to the championship rounds.
GGG still has to be favourite but then so was Benn against Watson etc.
Ormand v Flannagan is the one I like the look of on that list though.

Re: Upcoming Fights
At 18-1, you find yourself thinking, what are the odds of golovkin getting flu, tripping over his boot laces and knocking him self out on the ring post etc
Murray's tough, game, well organised etc, but sadly Also one paced and lacking a dig. It's hard to see him giving ggg enough to think about offensively to stop him from getting a systematic breaking down.
My head says golovkin mid round stoppage, but I hope Murray takes him the distance and shows us How golovkin looks in the later rounds.

Or the odds of GGG underestimating Murray etc.?
Like you, the lack of dig makes me think Murray is very much an outside chance but it wouldn't be the first time I've seen a highly rated favourite over commit in the early rounds or just underestimate their opponent and get outworked in the latter stages.
Which ever, we'll learn something about GGG.

Re: Upcoming Fights
You're quite right fella, your benn Watson example being a case in point. I think ggg is a bit more measured in his approach than that, but he hasn't looked sensational in all his fights, and guys who rely on knocking guys over, always eventually find someone they either can't hit, or don't roll over when they do hit them. Unfortunately for Murray I think he'll find that ggg is a better boxer than him too. But stranger things have happened.
