In terms of All-Ireland's Kerry win 5-3, although Tyrone do have a big shout since they beat Kerry twice in the final in 05 then in 08. It depends on how you class TOTD.

I know, I am just arguing the flip side on 606.

The poor child is torn up in knots over it.

Laugh I know, I just read it. He seems to be taking the whole thing far too serious- down to decency and answering questions now....get him to join us on here RB. We could do with a few more on here by tommorow.

He is advertising Ja606 on there, so it might be a tough sell.

I think i was maybe a bit harsh there. I am feeling kinda bad. Of course Tyrone had a bad time of it but i don't think too many in Tyrone would be thanking him for holding up their grief as an excuse for their on the field failings.

I think he might just have given up and fallen out with you there RB, he hasn't been back for a wee while. Are IA and Hartley coming over? XP has finished his packing but hasn't moved anywhere yet.

I don't know why i keep falling out with folk. It happens all the time. I don't mean to. I don't really hold grudges as it happens so often. Other people do with me though.

Good shout with the bob the builder poster. That's the positive attitude we need. I think he's really taken offence this time, you can always tell their seething when their spelling goes down hill (apart from when mine goes, that's just the Ale talking). Hopefully they'll be coming, after all this time I can't see them going the summer without these pointless ramblings.

My spelling is down to me having no buttons on my computer.

I'll invite him over. now in a minute I think. he might explode. I knew he'd lose the rag over that but in all honesty, he brought it up and introduced it as an excuse in a debate about the team of the decade.

i don't see how I disrespected Tyrone at all. they weren't good enough to win as many All Irelands as Kerry.

I will go to my grave knowing that we were better than them in 09...but they knew how to win it.

There's no excuse for him to have done that, you did say you weren't being serious after all. Sometimes I've got bad spelling due to the temperature here especially during winter, I get frostbite by staying online too long. How do you manage with no buttons on the computer, what happened to them? Shocked

The children liberated them because they were in the wrong order. I managed to stick some back on but mostly it is just guesswork these days.

I was a little bit out of order. I should have built up a bit of rapport before being so flippant. But it is said now and I'll stick to my guns as it is a valid point. If I was wrong, I'd hold my hands up.

Tyrone have had a lot of bad things befalling them but to say it hasn't happened to anyone else is nonsense. Three kerry lads played the week their father died. They were managed by their uncle. Not once have I ever heard it cited as an excuse for them coming up short.

They weren't good enough and that is the long and the short of it.

the 09 final. kerry knew how to get the job done. We should have won, but we didn't. We couldn't get the job done. It is that simple.

if kerry won 7 fair enough but they won 5 and failed to beat tyrone in 3 different matches twice in the final. surley team of the decade must win all-irelands atleast a third and win them in a manner that could justify their claim as totd.

Nope. You just have to win them.
It is the same 32 teams you have to beat every year. You win half those on offer, you have bragging rights....although nobody ever sought to brag about it....till now.

I think ToTD is a silly moniker and to be the third best team of the decade is even more silly. A team with fewer All irelands being desperate to be the team of the decade is even sillier.

Like I said over on the other place, your place in history is secure. Chasing an imaginary title that you don't deserve is a pointless piece of ego massaging.

aye but you didnt awnser because you know cork were third and they didnt win an all-ireland it was on merit just like tyrone.

anyway its not getting one over kerry iv upmost respect for them but its getting one over spillane who mouths about puke northern football.

but dont you agree that in terms of the 3 head to head meetings tyrone were the beter team?

No, i didn't answer because it is a ridiculous notion. We won no all Irelands and got beat by a middling Fermanagh side in 04 and did very little up till then despite having a decent side. we then made 2 finals and fluffed our lines when we should have done better and made a mess of it the first time. Did few Munster titles doesn't add up to what the Armagh lads got in 02. We beat kerry that year. What good was that?

The three times you played kerry in a ten year period you were the better team. If that is the limit of your ambition, then good for you. We beat them more than you did in the 00's and it amounted to nothing.

ok fair play you admit tyrone were beter and in fairness i think what you did in muster should have won sam in perticular 2009.

but beating kerry on all-ireland sunday in croker is a tougher task than in pairc uí chaoimh or killarney on a june or july afternoon.

sometimes i really cant understand with all that talent how cork never managed to beat kerry in croke park.

They were miles better and cuter than us until 09. Then they mugged us by doing what they do. Cooper will get frees awarded to him that nobody else will. Their defence will get away with things that nobody else will. Especially in croke park. And they will play it smart against a team they are familiar with. We were the better team in 09 but they were the smarter team by a long way. A hard lesson. After the first ten minutes, their defence was a blanket.....like what we are seeing all over the place now.

Kerry will get praised for it, the Dubs get a bye for doing it The Ulster teams get hammered for doing it.

i don't know. You were a very good side with very good management playing a very smart game. I think they'd like to catch you again, but I don't think they lose an awful lot of sleep over it.

They collected 5 all irelands and visited september 7 times in a decade. That is the benchmark really.
