This weeks results because everyone hassled me into them.......
- Granada:
- Everyone moans about long tactics, so please post this message along with my tactics to show how I've tried to go back to our original intention - simple tactics for simple voting. Ta FL Smile
------------------- Buffon ------------------
Clyne ---- Vlaar ---- Alderweireld - Durm
-------- Toulalan - Xavi - De Rossi -------
Sanchez ---------- Kane ------------ Ings
Subs: Casillas, Martinez, Jedvaj, Coquelin, Fletcher, di Natale, Zivkovic
Attacking tactics:Kane to hold up the ball and utilise the width of Sanchez and Ings to create gaps and break through the defence. Clyne and Durm to get forward to double-team the FB and get plenty of crosses into Kane. Central three to take turns to get forward in support, always have two sitting back to allow the FBs free reign to get forward. Sanchez to run at his FB, use his pace to get down the outside and get crosses in (most FBs try to show you inside so exploit this).
Defending tactics: Hold a solid back line, allow the central three to soak up the pressure with their world-class defensive skills. Sanchez and Ings to harry the FBs leaving Kane to muscle in on the weakest CB. De Rossi and Toulalan to ensure that any AMs are completely nullified by crunching them in the tackle.

Subs -
Schwarzer
Cassani
A Dominguez
Amat
Kalou
Captain - Mascherano
Corner Kicks - Pjanic
Free Kicks - Honda
GK- Howard
Experienced keeper, I want you to stay alert at all times and parry any shots that are too powerful to catch. Try and catch the ball if the opposition have a corner and quickly play it out to the wings to either Januzaj or Miralles so they can initiate a quick counter attack.
RB - Jallet
Start off with a balanced mentality attacking/defending wise and see how well you are coping with the opposition left mid. He will probably try and cut in from the right on to his stronger foot so I want you to close him down and put a tackle in if he does. Also I want you to help out Januzag when attacking and make overlapping runs and get some crosses in to the box for Costa to use his aerial abillity to score a goal.
LB - Kurzawa
Similar job to Jallet. Whoever you are up against you will prob have the beating of them pace wise so try and make them play on their weak foot and close them down if they try and take you on. Also support Miralles by making overlappinjg runs and getting crosses into the box.
CB's - Caceres + Mascherano
2 experienced defenders who have the experience needed to play at this high intensity without feeling the pressure. Whoever you are up against I want you to stick close to their striker/s and not give him any space. Play the ball to the midfielders or do a long pass to pick out Costa.
DM's - Schneiderlin + Pjanic
2 physical players who will be tasked with closing down the Granada attackers. Watch out for the attacking runs of their midfielders. Pjanic will be allowed to play the ball out as he is a pretty good dribbler of the ball and if he sees an opportunity to shoot from long range then he should take it. Schneiderlin will play the full game just covering for our full backs who are in attacking positions and will look to play simple passes to the wingers.
Wingers - Januzaj + Miralles
2 effective dribblers who will be the focal point of our attacks. Januzaj will probably be faced against Durm. I want you to to try and take him on and put a cross in from the byline or go for a shot if you are in a decent shooting range. Miralles will most likely be up against Clyne which will be a more balanced duel. I want Miralles to mix it up a bit and try and take on Clyne on the outside and sometimes cut in onto his right. I want both of you to be aware of Jallets and Kurzawas overlapping runs and pass to them and play quick one twos. Track back when not in possession of the ball as the opposition will be deadlyif we give them too much space.
Attack Mid - Honda
This Japanese ninja will look to use his great vision to create some chances. Keep moving in between the lines to confuse the opposition defenders. Have a crack at goal if you see an opportunity.
Centre Forward - Diego "BEAST" Costa
Play on the shoulder of the defenders and try and make space and peel away from them so you have a better chance to shoot. Try not to be in an offside positon and be aware of where the ball is at all times. Play the ball to your teammates if you are closed down. Use your superior strengthto shrug the weak defenders away. Hussle and close down the opposition defenders when they have the ball. Shoot if you see an opening.
Subs if LOSING BY 65MINS
Schneiderlin OFF Kalou ON
Switch to a 41212 formation With Kalou going in strike
Subs if WINNING BY 65MINS -
Januzaj OFF A Dominguez ON
Honda OFF Amat ON
Change formation to a 5-4-1 and pack the defence.
Subs if DRAWING BY 65MINS -
Keep the same 4-5-1 formation but bring on fresher players.
Schneiderlin OFF Amat ON
Granada 2-2 Verona
Kane --------- Costa x2
Sanchez
Both teams fairly evenly matched along with the tactics. Granada were slightly too defensive for me especially playing at home with pretty much 3 DM's but Verona beat them out wide which is where their 2 goals came from because of Costa's power. Kane scored because he bullied both CB's all day long with his power against the 2 CB's. Sanchez scored by coming inside and allowed to hit a 25 yard rocket. Verona could use stronger CB's whereas Granada could use potentially stronger full backs and be a little more attacking at home.

- Werder Bremen:
- Injuries: Andre Carrillo, Predrag Stevanovic, Felix Kroos.
-------------Weidenfeller--------------
Ivanovic –Terry – Veltman – Cole
----------------Rode---------------
--------Maher-------Gundogan----
Buffel--------Huntelaar-----Afellay
Overall team talk:
Our gameplan today is to not get too deep but to defend strongly soaking up the pressure from Twente will be a tough task but I think we are good enough to battle back and hopefully get something from this game. I assume we will be counter attacking a lot during this game so lets use that to our advantage by doing it with pace and energy. We want to keep a solid shape with full concentration.
Defensive plan – The defensive plan today is to stay as a solid back 4 with Afellay and Buffel dropping deep at times to help out the full backs. We need this cover in the wide areas in particular to keep Hazard at bay. I want Rode to always be the spare man and always be looking to cut the ball off at the source, likely to be Rakitic who will be feeding the likes of Hazard and Tevez. Huntelaar I want you to be waiting on the edge of the box when defending incase of a quick break out and this will allow you to break away and hold the ball up to allow the others into the game. If we can stop the ball coming into Hazard and the danger men, we have every chance of getting something from this game.
Attacking plan – The attacking plan today is simple, if we have the ball we want to use it carefully. Most of our attacking is likely to come from counter attacks and we need to be prepared for that. Buffel and Afellay you will need to get up the pitch as fast as possible in support of Huntelaar, provide outlets for him and if you are shown the outside line then swing the ball into the box and Huntelaar should be waiting for it to put it in the back of the net.
Maher and Gundogan I want you both to move up in support however always being prepared to drop back into the defensive shape. I want Maher to be the one who gets forward the most using your energy to get up the pitch especially with counter attacks. Ivanovic I want you to be the only full back who moves forward with the attack and provide and outlet on the right hand side for Buffel. Huntelaar you need to look to take your opportunities which could be few and far between. Remember to hold the ball up and be strong, this will allow others into the game as mentioned before and in turn will support you.
Subs:
Alonso on for Cole 85th Minute.
This will be the only substitution as we want to keep our shape.
VS
- FC Twente:
-----------------Rafael----------------
------Zouma---Pepe---Subotic-----
Rafinha--------Rakitic---------Gaya
---------Pogba------Suarez----------
-----------------Silva-----------------
-----------------Tevez----------------
This week I'm employing a 3-5-1-1 formation often used by Napoli to great affect in which it benefits the speed of my wingbacks to patrol the flanks whilst with the strength of my central core provides a powerful spine to gain control and dominate possession in key areas.
All outfield players are known for their hard working engines and this is key for us today as we continue to pressure the opposition throughout the game, enforcing errors and then capitalising on mistakes.
Defence
If the opposition are playing with 4 at the back and wingers then our wingbacks are to be less adventurous, look to keep it tight and only look to push forward when a counter is on. Rakitic has been used this week in the role of anchor in front of the back line, puppet master pulling the strings whilst behind the trio of Zouma, Subotic and Pepe combine youthful running, strength and awareness.
Attack
With Rakitic employed deeper this allows Pogba freedom to play box to box and really get at Miky's defence, using the movement of the three ahead, all of which are masters of dragging markers out of position and creating space this should be like the parting of the Red Sea. Intelligent movement is vital today, time runs, pressure high, and capitalize on periods of dominance.
Subs
Calhanoglu for Suarez 65m: swap to 3-4-2-1 ala Liverpool, Calhanoglu to take a inner right role, Silva the left, look to draw fouls in areas of threat for Hakan to strike.
Werder Bremen 1-3 FC Twente
Huntelaar ------------ Pogba
----------------------- Tevez
----------------------- Silva
Excellently deployed tactics by both managers but I feel the formation suited FC Twente much more. Huntelaar opened the scoring with a well placed 15 metres finish as he found too much space in the box. FC Twente cracked on in the 2nd half and Pogba levelled the scoring within 68 seconds after he hit a bullet from 25 yards as her got too much space as him and Silva overran Rode as Gundogan and Maher were a little bit laps at defending. Tevez then put the visitors in front when he pulled onto Veltman and was able to beat him with easy and slot home from 18 metres, clinical finish. Silva wrapped up the scoring on 89 minutes with a quick break away as Tevez and Silva broke past the last line of defence and Tevez squared it to Silva who slotted home. Werder Bremen could use strengthening the left side of their team bar Gundogan as that's where all 3 of Twente's goals came from. Twente could improve on Rafinha and the goalkeeper also.

TACTICS
We have to win to keep our faint title hopes alive after losing last week, there's no two ways about it so we're going for it.
Obviously their front two are the dangermen, so we are going to surprise them by playing five at the back, to ensure that we have three against two in the box. Tadic is in the side as the most attacking member of our three man midfield, and we have two strikers to go up against their two centre backs, where we feel we can have joy. Play fast when we get the ball.
De Sanctis - Keep a clean sheet, be quick off your line if Aguero tries to get in behind.
Dier/Astori/Chiellini - Three centre backs today as they have their two strikers. I feel all of you can win headers against Bony in the air, and there is pace between you as well to marshall Aguero. The main thing is to defend deep enough to stop him making those little runs in behind.
Darmian/Digne - Both of you need to get up and down the touchline today, both providing width when we have the ball and matching your wingers, force them out wide. Sterling doesn't like being shunted out wide and we can match him for pace and strength, isolate him.
Carrick - Sit deep and front the defense, look to pass the ball nicely but be that shield in front of the centre backs as you do so well.
Schwein - Box to box role my man, get forward when we have the ball, show off your range of passing, run with the ball, take long shots. Powerhouse in midfield, they have two passers in midfield but no real enforcer, you can be that and stamp your authority on the game.
Tadic - Get forward to support the strikers. When we have the ball, I want you to get right up and beyond the front two, you have license to roam around the final third. Defensively, I want you to stick higher up near their defensive midfielders (Alonso and Gonalons) and put some pressure on but conserve your energy for attacking.
Ibrahimovic/Lacazette - Ibra, Bully their centre backs (Gabriel in particular) and be a target man for headers and balls in. Lacazette, use your pace to get in behind, both create space for each other. You are my dream partnership in attack.
SUBSTITUTIONS
If winning - Son for one of the strikers, move to a 5-4-1 with Tadic and Son wide. Bring on Diaz late on to shore up the midfield.
If drawing - Son and Lampard for Dier and Carrick. Move to a 4-4-2 with Son and Tadic LM/RM.
If losing - Son, Lampard, Wilson for Digne, Darmian and Carrick. 3-4-3, all out attack.
VS
- Bordeaux:
-------------------Olimpa
Coleman -- Varane -- Gabriel -- Azpilicueta
------------Gonalons -- Alonso
-Kampl ---------------------------Sterling
-----------Bony -------Aguero
Subs: Jug,Chalme,Bellerin,El Ghazi,Ibe,Vidal,Perez
Team Talk: Up against Trebs who is always spot on tactically, Recently he's favored the 4-4-2 so expecting him to continue down these routes. Shall look to shut off the middle of the park and overload the wings doubling up on his full backs. The defense shall push up the pitch to play a high line against a slow Ibrahimovic.
Defensive Tactics
- Varane to get touch tight to Ibra and look to get blocks in when he goes to shoot, look to force him away from the goal and make his life unpleasant
- Gabriel to pick up Lacazette, He's got electric pace so look to give yourself a yard head start and get the tackle in.
- Coleman to push the winger inside and not to let him get a cross into the box, Use your pace to keep him from getting down the line
- Azpilicueta to push the winger inside again towards the DM's and block crosses
- Gonalons & Alonso to sit infront of the back 4 and look to cut the supply off into the forwards
*If he plays a 4-4-2 diamond then the full backs to squeeze in and create a tight back 4
Attacking Tactics
- Coleman & Azpilicueta to get up the pitch and overlap the wingers and whip balls in the box towards Wilfried.
- Alonso to sit deep and play long balls over the top of the defense for Sterling & Kampl to get onto, Occasionally to go long to Wilfried
- Gonalons to get forward when in possession to give an attacking threat running from deep
- Kampl to take on Digne and look to cut inside as Seamus goes outside and play the ball in behind for Seamus, If forced down the line just whip a cross in.
- Sterling to cut in off the left and look to take on the CB with pace square him up and knock it past him and drag him out of position, If go down the line just whip it in
- Wilfried to sit on Astori and bully him with your physical presence and make runs at the far past from crosses and when Alonso knocks a long ball get onto Digne and use your height advantage for the knockdowns
- Aguero to take on Chiellini and look to use the channels between FB/CB to create space, Don't let the defender get touch tight and look to use your movement to drift across the CB's and make diagonal runs in behind to pull spaces open.
Subs: If losing Ibe on for Kampl after 80 mins - Sterling to RW, Ibe LW
Genk 3-3 Bordeaux
Ibra x2 --- Aguero x2
Lacazette --- Sterling
Quality game of football, really open game. Aguero opened the scoring with a well placed finish from 10 metres after he pulled away from the defenders. Ibrahimovic then levelled with a power shot from 25 yards and he then put the hosts ahead through a strong header from 6 yards. Aguero then levelled just after the break after he squirmed past Dier and fired into the roof of the net. Sterling then thought he won the game on 88 minutes for the visitors after he managed to get in behind Darmian and his shot across goal his the post and went in. Lacazette then managed a late, late equaliser after route one football made Ibrahimovic flick it on and he managed to break the offside trap, take it around Olimpa and slide it home for 3-3. Bordeaux could use a strong DM on Gonalons and maybe an improvement on Gabriel. Genk could use on improving Dier.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Montpellier:
---------------Frey
Yedlin - Manolas - Howedes - Willems
------------Clasie - Pirlo
---Bellarabi - Barkley - Perisic
--------------Dost x2
Subs: Speroni, Flanagan, Campagnaro, Motta, Bakkali, Torres, Solanke
Tough game today against PAOK, they have some exceptional players but we have the midfield pairing and attack to cause them real problems. Clasie and Pirlo can dictate possession in the middle of the park, while Bellarabi and Perisic can target PAOK's fullbacks with their pace. I've gone with Dost x2 upfront with his real life record being so ridiculous, use your strength and positioning to make runs in behind for Clasie and Pirlo to look for the ball over the top, use your pace against PAOK's CB's.
Defence: Frey to stay big for one on ones and distribute to Clasie/Pirlo. Howedes to track their striker, beat him to any passes towards him and force him to drop deeper to frustrate him, Manolas to be the first to any second balls. If they play a second striker, Manolas to mark him and Clasie to track any AM. In possession supply Clasie/Pirlo. Yedlin and Willems to overlap the wingers going forward and get crosses into Dost x2. Make sure you get back into position ASAP to avoid being caught out. Defensively force their wingers wide and block the crosses. Don't let them cut inside.
Midfield: Clasie/Pirlo sit infront of the back four, get the ball and look to supply the front four. Bellarabi and Perisic will play wide so they are able to switch from playing alongside Barkley when we're attacking but drop and form a midfield four with Pirlo and Clasie when defending. Utilise Yedlin and Willems overlapping and use them to play them down the wing or use the space to cut inside. Barkley to play as our AM, drift left and right and deeper to drag their DM out of position and look to supply Dost x2 with plenty of opportunities. Bellarabi and Perisic as the wingers, both pick up the ball wide and cut inside to leave space for the overlapping fullback, shoot or create when in advanced positions.
Attack: Dost x2 to mark the deepest PAOK defender, use your pace and positioning to worry their defenders, drift wide to drag defenders with you, to allow Barkley/Bellarabi/Perisic to make runs down the middle into space for Clasie/Pirlo to pick them out. You more than capable of scoring and assisting, so get shots in where you can and look for your teammate in a better position. Switch positions on occasion to keep the PAOK players guessing and drag them out of position.
Subs 70 mins:
If winning: Barkley off, Motta on. Switch to 4-5-1 with Motta playing at CM alongside Clasie and Pirlo, and forming a midfield three, Bellarabi/Perisic to wide midfield. Absorb pressure then look for Dost x2 on the counter.
-------------------Frey
--Yedlin - Manolas - Howedes - Willems
Bellarabi - Clasie - Pirlo - Motta - Perisic
------------------Dost x2
If drawing: No change, but push for the winner.
If losing: Willems and Clasie off, Bakkali and Torres on. Change to 3-1-4-2; Push for goals.
--------------------Frey
-------Yedlin - Manolas - Howedes
-------------------Pirlo
Bellarabi - Barkley - Perisic - Bakkali
-------------Torres - Dost x2
VS
- PAOK:
Formation: 4-3-3
Jacobo
Piszczek Barzagli Ogbonna Bernat
Nainggolan Toure Matuidi
Robben Mandzukic Menez
Subs
Giakoumis
Stones
Rekik
Holtby
Oliseh
Injuries
Max Meyer
Guarin (No longer at PAOK)
Nikolaos Spyropoulos
General: I'm expecting Montpellier to play a 4-2-3-1 with Claise and Pirlo as the two CM, I am looking to bully and press them two into mistakes that is why I am playing a high energy midfield. We are playing a higher line as Dost lacks the pace to make runs in behind and I feel our FB are quick enough.
Goalkeeper
Jacobo play as you have all season, command your area and make yourself as big as possible making the goal look small. Throw the ball out to wingers if we can break on a counter otherwise hit it long to Mandzukic.
DEFENCE
We're playing a high line today but I only want one FB to attack at a time so we have at least 3 defenders back. Dost is strong in the air so I want my FB to force thier wingers to come inside which restricts their crossing ability. When getting forward stay wide and get constant balls into the box.
Ogbonna will pick up Dost as he has the height and power to match him, get infront of him do not let him settle on the ball, Barzagli to pick up any spare man or striker they may apply. Keep it simple with passes looking for midfield.
MIDFIELD
I have got three powerful midfielders playing, as we are playing a high line that means the midfield will be furthur up the pitch which allows us to put pressure on thier CM. Do not let them breathe, force them into mistakes they'll look to play balls over our defence which we should deal with. Toure is our most advanced midfielder, drive forward with the ball using your power runs and play forward passes to our strikers. Nainggolan keep the ball moving for us, dictate the tempo look to play our wingers in who will make runs behind thier defence. Matuidi is the defensive minded from our midfield, cover any gaps, follow your runners. I want all three CM to work as a unit.
ATTACK
Mandzukic is our main man, always stay on the move, when you recieve the ball look to pass and move on. Make early runs into the box as our FB will be looking to put in early crosses. Get infront of their defence. Robben & Menez as the wingers attack the FB as I feel you'll get the better of them. Cut inside Robben to shoot and Menez to play a team mate though.
Montpellier 1-1 PAOK
Dost ------------- Robben
2 well matched teams, PAOK predicted Montpellier's tactics well but the general "gulph" of them were very similar in terms of quality. Montpellier opened the scoring where Dost's movement was good enough to get in between both CB's and turn in from just inside the 6 yard box. Robben then levelled midway into the 2nd half as he got in behind the full back and slotted under the keeper to play out a draw in the end. PAOK need a stronger LB for me whereas Moontpellier could use better quality Wingers for me to create width.

You played 3 DM's at home mate. Your actually quite lucky home advantage came to your rescue because tactics were even and his team was slightly better. And before you ask, I didn't even take 1 look at the league table before doing results so I don't care if you were top Azzy and nadeem was bottom. Just to clear that up.

I would take much notice of FL's feedback. He thinks i couldn't beat 10 men Genk despite having Aguero/Bony/Sterling etc and still thinks they can score 3 goals despite having 4 forward players against my 2 dm's & a decent enough back 4

Re: This weeks results because everyone hassled me into them.......
You pushed up, Ibrahimovic wins the flick ons and Lacazette was through on goal. That would have been the story of the game in truth. He went all out attack so that's why you scored the 3 goals and Bony isn't actually that good imo. So stop criticising my views when it is my point of view. Get over it, you drew and even with 10 men, I was thinking of putting them more towards a win rather than a draw.

Your a joke FL it's why no one on this board takes you serious, just like your pretend Dr job, id put £5 you work in Tesco or Lidl but you can't bear to admit your a failure at life and have to pretend you've got some top job to make yourself feel less of a Kumquat.
PS your IP address show's as Greenhill Primary School
Any side that played 10 men for 90 mins would lose, You know it, I know it & everyone here does. So either do your job fairly or Frak off ya Kumquat.
Quite frankly if i can't beat a 10 men side with 6 at the back and 4 up top then id rather resign then being part of this bias Poopie.

I'll be checking injuries this week - as the voter is required to do - and anyone making that error will be on the wrong side of at least four goals.
Also, I said FL is a fence sitter because 75% of results were draws, how thick are you lot?
