Sad news from Australian boxing Empty Sad news from Australian boxing

Post by BallchinianMuffwig Mon 16 Mar 2015, 5:32 am

Brendon Smith's up and coming son, Braydon, passed away after suffering his first professional loss on the 15th of March - it was a points loss against another unbeaten Filipino fighter.
The guy was only 23, I'd be a liar if I said I didn't find this hard hitting and chilling. Horrible horrible end to a young life.

RIP

It's seeing and reading this that sometimes makes me question whether I really want my 2 to box.

RIP young lad, thoughts are with your family

Sad news when any young man or kid dies.........

You are more likely to die crossing the road than in a ring......If Derby is having second thoughts on his kids Boxing..

Australian medics are now calling for boxing to be banned. Yet another wholly understandable but no less knee jerk reaction to a boxing related death

Very sad news and particularly chilling that he was smiling after the bout ended, in good spirits and seemingly passed the post-fight check by a ringside doctor. RIP.
