Re: Super Saturday, Game 2: Scotland v Ireland
We always knew they had this up their sleeves though... won't mean much if we don't execute the basics. Two guys went for the same restart, gave Scotland a platform. Dropped ball at the lineout, gave Scotland a platform. Not enough accuracy from Ireland so far, leading to that penalty.
We need to improve that, and quickly.

Ireland trying to do so much to secure the win they are giving away penalties.
Ireland need to do what Wales did earlier. get the win first. and think about the points difference.

Exactly. Great turnover from Best again.
We just need to hold onto the ball for a bit and keep it.

Its his initial competition for the ball that saved him. After realizing that he was not going to win, he grabbed the shoulders and dragged the player down. Stupid and a little dangerous and Payne can feel lucky not to see a yellow.

yes o'brien coming in at the side numerous times now and getting away with. Very inconsistent refereeing yet again in the 6 nations. Clear yellow for Payne as well following other decisions in this 6 nations!RDW_Scotland wrote:Only time in my life I wish we had Barnes reffing - Ireland getting away with a lot at ruck time

SOB must've watched Warburton rampaging around today.
Wales can forget the championship already. Least Welsh people don't have to wait till this evening now

Re: Super Saturday, Game 2: Scotland v Ireland
I will stick my hand up and say that I felt SOB was out of form and wanted TOD in for him. So far he is having and absolute stormer of a game.
My only worry is, Ireland do go off their feet a lot at the ruck and its only a matter of time before they start getting pinged for it.

The ref is being very lenient at the breakdown for ireland. Sob and Pom are constantly coming in from the side and going of their feet!

You're still allowed to use your exit strategies Ireland! We don't have to run everything from our own half, it will cost us!

Doesn't matter that we used the advantage - the ref gave us a penalty because they killed the ball on their own line.
Yellow card usually!
