DC Cinematic Universe Empty DC Cinematic Universe

Post by hampo17 Fri 27 Mar 2015, 12:36 pm

Similar to what has been done for Marvel, it'd be good to have one for DC.

Films

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
Suicide Squad directed by David Ayer (2016)
Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot (2017)
Justice League Part One directed by Zack Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017)
The Flash starring Ezra Miller (2018)
Aquaman starring Jason Momoa (2018)
Shazam (2019)
Justice League Part Two directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
Cyborg,” starring Ray Fisher (2020)
Green Lantern” (2020)

TV Shows (Although Not Connected)

Arrow
The Flash.

What's everyone looking forward to most from DC then? The stuff I keep hearing about BvS is really getting my hyped for that film, and Eisenberg is looking awesome as Luthor. Loving the TV shows as well, Stephen Amell has really connected with the fans well doing loads of giveaways on his Facebook page. He recently sent a little girl a video for her birthday as well, top guy.

Have you seen the latest from Synder Derby? They're going with that story line but twisting it a little, apparently Superman will go to Gotham to fight Batman and not the other way around.

Yeah I read that yesterday, I say she will either acquire it at the end of BvS or in the SS movie itself it could bring Black Manta into the DCU and tee him up to be the main or one of the bad guys in the Aquaman movie

Don't forget in the comics Batman has plans on how to deal with all of the Justice League should they go bad.

I didn't realise they were basing it on that (how did I miss that, seem to be missing a lot lately Erm )

Cannot wait for this now, you know they'll have to tweak it but if it goes alongst the same lines it could be brilliant.

Wasn't his suit just a power suit (ala Ironman) but Green Arrow shot Supes with a none lethal syntactic Kyptonite arrow?

The Flash is good, nice cast and it's interesting maybe because there are more meta-humans in it and not just z list Batman villains, Constantine was a surprise, I loved it the character himself is such a d!ck you cant help but to like him

I think for it to really be a success, and maybe go as dark as it could, it needs to move Networks. Not sure why it was given the Friday night death slot either, strange for a new show to be shoved there.

Constantine is dead barring a late swoop from another network like a Syfy or Netflix, the chances of that are extremely slim to none. Its been pretty much dead in the water since its second episode, ratings were extremely poor even on a night that rates as poor for NBC historically.

As for the decision being made at that end of the month well that's just par for the course since all network tv cancellation/renewal decisions need to be made prior to May 14th.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing a 2nd season but I hold out no hope of it happening Smile

It would shock me if NBC renewed it as even they must think they have a higher ratings winner than Constantine for next year but hey weird things have happened (Beauty & the Beast or Unforgettable).

Arrows first season ratings are pretty much on par with their second and third season, granted in 18-49 ratings Constantine is on par with all three seasons of Arrow. The problem lies is they are on different networks and the CW which does Arrow (Flash) has a much lower threshold on what's a success or not.

I wouldn't mind Netflix picking up Constantine. Looking at what they've done with Daredevil, it wouldn't have to be as watered down as NBC wanted it too be.

If I was Netflix I'd be looking to wait with the Constantine and just start it fresh in a few years if they were interested. Plus Netflix seem firmly in bed with Marvel for the next while and already have 5 (including Daredevil) shows in the works.

Cheers Derby. Will be interesting to see how they approach the Wonder Woman movie. I was hoping Gadot was going to really bulk and tone up for the role but in recent photos I saw of her supposedly training for the role she looked as skinny as ever. Nothing against skinny women of course.

Also a bit concerned with Will Smith as Deadshot. I see him as a potential weak link even if he is a big name. Would have preferred to see more of an unknown cast in that role.

The Batman vs Superman trailer has leaked, apparently it was shown in a cinema somewhere in South America and someone recorded it.

It looks very dark, very gritty, and as if the world turns against Superman. I also like the line from Batman "Tell me do you bleed? You will" plus Batman finally has the white eyes!

big rumours Doomsday will be in BvS as the muscle for Lex Luthor and Lex may also get to wear the green and purple armour suit he has in the comics/games.

I think they may be putting too many things in to one film.  Doomsday could have had is own film as the main bad guy to the justice league.
