First topic message reminder :

Let's lighten the mood a little
Everyone is getting excited (then ultimately disappointed) about who their club will sign over the summer. But who is the biggest dud your team have ever signed; a guy who arrived being heralded as the "final piece in the jigsaw" etc but who was utterly mince? It's maybe a bit harsh to put someone in the list who's rubbish-ness was down to injury but you decide.
For Edinburgh, the AB prop Dave Hewitt arrived to project us to European greatness but couldn't even get in the team! Apparently, he cost a ruddy fortune too

I hope this isn't a rude question, shuren but are you French or just a Montpelier fan? Whocares is the only (other?) French guy on here that I am aware of

I think you might be the only French person here, yes.  I know 'Whocares' supports France but I'm not sure he's all French.

But rest easy - you're not the only one who speaks 'French' in here - especially when Refs are the subject Wink

Hi Shuren welcome aboard
I think whocares is French. From memory, his location is "Paris". Judging by his dodgy grammar, he is French. Or from Glasgow laughing
Fly - I think most people on here speak total bollix, not French!

What about Dave Hilton for Scotland?? Whistle Not a drop of Scottish blood in umpteen generations of his family and staying in Bristol did make qualifying for us on residency grounds a little tricky.

Good shout on Dewey - who was a fairly high profile signing at the time as a then starting Scottish international.

Here is a whole team of them - I still maintain Joeli wins by a street!

How dare you lump him in with Rob Dewey.  Veitayaki had more pace, more guile and better passing than Dewey on his best day.

The idea was to make him SHINE.

Wasn't it great the way he'd make the centre of the pitch his own - rolling like a great beach ball as the waves of play surged from end to end and oscillated him between the 10m lines? Then he'd do the amusing three diddy trick by putting the ball up his jumper and get punters to guess where it was, or the times he'd serenade the ruck by whipping out his ukelele and singing "somewhere over the rainbow".
