Price...............surely.
Chis looked finished against Fury. What does Warren think a win over Price would do for his career?
Price needs to win and win big. He needs to make a statement and then call out Fury. Now thats a massive fight.

Chisora doesnt move his head, think hes gone now and Price still bangs very hard for a heavy. Chisora doenst have his heart anymore, and that was literally all he had and his chin which has taken a lot of punishment over the past

I know you have a massive dislike for Price truss but surely you dont think he should be fighting wlad at the moment i mean why would Wlad take the fight anyway without it being a mandatory situation

He's had two tests and failed abysmally....
P**s or get off the pot....who knows you might land the big right !!
Fury and Joshua matter now... time for Price to go all in.
Chisora means diddly..

I am guessing taking top fighters to prove he can mix it or retire.Rodney wrote:What do you mean go all in ?

Re: Price v Chisora in talks
I think this would be a decent fight for Price at this stage. I'm sure a few guys might share Truss' opinion that Price might be better off just taking a bit of money against Klitschko if (Wlad is looking for a keep-busy voluntary) and trying to luck out rather than simply run the risk of losing soon to another lower-level fighter and effectively have his career ended, but realistically no promoter in their right mind is going to comtemplate almost certainly sacrificing a possible asset to them like that.
Every fight has a bit of a last chance saloon, make-or-break element to it now for Price so may as well get him back in a UK ring with a bit of pressure to perform for a larger audience on his shoulders again. He should have had enough time to lick his wounds from the Thompson losses and think about how he's going to alter his approach.
Chisora's coming off a one-sided whooping, is only in it for the money now, is past his best and is above his best fighting weight could be the argument against this fight.....So basically exactly the same which was being written and said about Thompson before he came over here and upset Price twice!
If Chisora still has that willingness to come forward and try to get inside while throwing his big right over the top, despite it meaning he has to take a shot to get his own off, then he's in with a shout against a man with a fragile chin, who gassed badly and seemed to mentally capitulate second time out against Thompson and who also hasn't ever looked comfortable or calm when pressed back to the ropes or corners. Given how much ground and momentum Price has lost in the last couple of years, I actually think this is a test and risky assignment for him.

Re: Price v Chisora in talks
I'd watch this but through parted fingers. I'd favour Price if he can deter Chis with his power within the first 3 rounds, then either KO's him or is just be happy to soften him up over the later rounds at his own pace. If Chisora is still there after 3 and having some decent success he makes Price work hard and crumble, or he catches him at some stage and finishes it.
Either way, the winner is less meaningful than the victor of Bellow v Clev 3.

Chis looked shot against Fury, would rather he retired than face any decent punchers now.

But surely that contradicts your "he hasn't earned a shot" rhetoric that you use when it suits you? Price could well get the biggie in Wlad, hasn't earnt it though and isn't world class etc etc.

Re: Price v Chisora in talks
Price KO's Chisora, calls out Fury who, disgusted at being overlooked for a HW title shot, takes up yet another "Battle of Britain" challenge. Meanwhile David Haye sneaks in and bags himself a lucrative shot at either Wilder or Wlad much to everyone's annoyance but they relent when Haye points out TRUSS's argument that "No one earns a shot these days..." (although they're mystified at the used of all the full stops.....)

I think its a good fight. I wouldnt write Chisora off. If he can make it a hard fight then he is the one with the more grit and heart. Price has folded, gassed and given up when faced with resistance.

Price has got very cautious. I wouldn't be surprised if Chis got at him and roughed him up. Every chance Price's balls drop.

Re: Price v Chisora in talks
Depends why Chis takes the fight. Is he getting a good payday here to be hopefully served up to boost Prices image, or is he lookin to make a statement?
I think Chisora folds as soon as Price hurts him. I dont think hes game anymore
