Q&A with Rikki Clarke
Rikki has been kind enough to answer our questions, heres the results!
What do you prefer batting or bowling?
Batting
If you weren't a Cricketer what would you be doing?
Poker Player.
Highlights of your career thus far?
England debuts in Test and ODI.
Should KP be dropped from the England side?
Not my decision...but no. One of England's best batters.
Who was the hardest person to bowl at?
Trescothick.
What do you remember more about your England Debut the first ball wicket or the duck?
Both the same lol.
Who was your sporting idol as you were growing up?
Gazza and Freddie Flintoff.
What is your favourite film?
Hangover with Taken a close second.
Do you have any pre match rituals before playing?
No, got away from superstitions.
If you could change one thing about your career what would it be?
To do it my way instead of trying to listen to loads of advice that put me back a step.
Can England become the number 1 Test side?
Of course. Got a strong squad to choose from and people also knocking on the door.
Who do you think should have replaced Collingwood. Bopara or Morgan?
Both talented players but I would of personally gone with Bopara as he can give you overs if needed.
Do you think Stuart Broad has the ability to become a all-rounder or should he just focus on his bowling?
Can comfortably become an all-rounder. He has a Test 100 so it speaks for itself.
Who should replace Anderson in the next test?
Finn as he is next in line but Dernbach won't be too far away in making his debut.
Do the likes of Hildreth and Taylor now deserve a place in the side?
Possibly but would only be if there is an injury. Bopara next in line for me.
Who is the future of English cricket?
Woakes, Dernbach, Stokes and Borthwick.
Ashley Giles said, on signing you in 2008, "his talent is unfilled at present". What is your own assessment?
Heard that a lot. Opportunity and grabbing that opportunity has been my main problem. Doing it my way so hopefully that helps.
Last question, What areas of your game have held you back from playing in England in the Test match format in the past?
My bowling. But last year 32 @22 and so far this year 24 @22 so runs are needed now. #justaroundthecorner
Some interesting answers there.. What do you make of his answers?
Also big thanks to Rikki for doing it

Do you think Stuart Broad has the potential to become a good all rounder or should he focus on his bowling?

Re: Q&A with Rikki Clarke
I've moved this here as part of the 606v2 honours board. Will edit it tomorrow so that it is in line with the other Q&A's we have done across the site.
