Meath v Kildare
Dark clouds are gathering, rumours abound that he who cannot be named has risen.
The dark arts will be used again. Last year umpires and a referee were possessed and spoke of things that never happened.
Will the ancient one take to the field and defeat those dressed in white who represent the forces of good.

Re: Meath v Kildare
I think Meath are in for a world of hurt.
I have said until now that this is season one of a rebuilding project but things are lurching from bad to worse.
I am expecting meath to get a bit of a going over here. I don't know whether or not they'll recover sufficiently for the qualifiers.....depends who they get I suppose.

Not sure if Kildare are up to championship speed yet. Could get caught although Banty self imposed troubles and the loss of two selectors doesn't bode well for the Meath camp.
Still wouldnt want either in the first round of the qualifiers.
What a difference a weekend makes!

Should be a good game but I would expect Kildare to win.

Re: Meath v Kildare
For the neutral supporter I'd say this'll be a very interesting fixture. Meath's forwards will need to have a good game, but I think there's been too much turmoil in the royal camp. With Geraghty coming back and the selectors leaving I don't think we'll be anywhere near the top of our game. I don't expect us to win but I don't expect a complete drubbing either, our best chance is if Kildare have an off-day. I'd say lily-whites by 6 and Meath to try for glory in the qualifiers.

Congratulations to Rebelbhoy. As of 11am this morning the other place is no more- and the last ever post on the GAA board was RB's one about...nicole kidman. True to the off-topic nature of the drivel we post. Here's to a great summer of GAA- old 606 is dead, long live v2 GAA.
A prediction- Dublin to get a footballing lesson from loais and then to fail miserably in the back door.

They butchered the Irish accent in that film. Not the only film to do it but one of the main culprit's.

"Y'er not in Ireland any more you ignorant Mick"
Some cracking lines in it though.
We had to do a brief essay on the portrayal of the downtrodden or some such nonsense in the movie. I think I got a good mark for it as well. I chose all the native americans who were stood about at the start of the land rush rather than poor Tom who had his land shtolen from him in the first instance.....Not necessarily anything to do with the course, but the lecturer was a liberal kinda guy.
