Re: 6CW Chat v5
I think really it would boil down to who he's against and we've seen it before...Wood against Costello is the face but going against Thunder there were mixed feelings by the fans.
Wood attacking Masters gets a cheer but if Wood was to go after Gazzy and the 6CW title (for example) it would really push the fans loyalty and almost leave him with just the smark fans cheering for him.

So you are full of bull. Figures
I think most fans will be turned off Viper. Maybe I'm old school but I don't buy into Tweeners.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
There will always be a place for full on heels and full on faces but some of the best stars we've seen have been tweeners.
Austin would get cheered by the fans but would stunner anyone who got in his way, The Rock although loved by the fans back in the day was as arrogant as a heel, The NWO were heels but they were cool as hell and a lot of fans loved them for it. Fast forward to modern day...CM Punk was loved by the fans but his whole MO was anti authority going up against a full on face in John Cena...we now see that Dean Ambrose...he breaks the rules, he goes after whoever he wants but he's cheered for.
Tweeners are needed because if you just have good vs bad it becomes a bit too comic book BUT that is an old school approach to wrestling so I can see we might never fully agree on the importance of tweeners.

Tweeners may be needed, but Wood doesn't need it right now. Blurring between the lines for him is exactly the wrong way to go.
He needs a simpler approach where he nails his flag to one post or another. Masters feud is interesting because it's the first time where you could see Wood turning. The resentment has built with near loss after near loss in some massive matches. Now he needs to take that step.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
I do agree with you there as I think certain wrestling fans (probably smarks) would be on the edge of their seat as Wood makes his decision (if that's where this is going) so it could be a massive moment when it finally happens.
The choice could really push him over the edge though...does he sign up with a man who is notorious for offloading people at the drop of the hat for what could be a slightly better chance at success...the way I see Wood at the moment is someone who hates Jones...as mentioned before...Jones is the reason Wood's happy place (EWF was destroyed).

Re: 6CW Chat v5
If Jones promised EWF would be back as he sees how 6cw has fallen without it etc etc.
Regardless Wood needs the turn. Nothing can convince me otherwise.
Grace is probably the biggest tweener right now. But he is just ignorant to what's going on....supposedly. More Kramer causes friction the more the anti grace stance grows. Dunno if the Cena like fanbase would be affected though.

Afternoon All
As for the QOTD:
I hope to see Costello vs. Leone go down as one of the best feuds/matches since the rebirth, I feel these two are a great foil for each other and I think this match could be defining for Costello... although he's held the EWF title for some time he's never really been the top guy or been involved in the main headline angles, I'd like this NOG taking him in that direction.
As for the whole tweener debate, I'd have to agree that there is a place for them, their unpredictability can real turn feuds on their head however with that being said though I'd also agree that Wood needs to be heal post NOG... I'd really enjoy seeing him side with Jones and Masters being cast aside leading to a Masters Face turn against Jones/Wood. I can see Jones twisting Woods head and manipulating him into a weapon (perhaps one he's see's more effective than Masters).
I see Seth Rollins as the blueprint for Liam Wood with Masters chasing him down... I think that angle would get over big time imo.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
I wouldn't really call Grace a tweener as his actions are those of a face and if it was to come out that he was actually in on the whole sponsorship thing then he'd go to heel without a second thought...Grace's biggest comparison is that of Cena...Cena gets booed by the smarks and cheered by the kids but his whole gimmick is that of a full on face.
For Tweeners I'm not sure who I'd list...I feel like Wood is there at the moment as he's not really showing face tendencies but he's nowhere near a heel either as he's still out there for the fans. You could argue that Max is almost a tweener...yes he's arrogant, yes he can be spoilt but it's not like he was when he was controlling Gazzy...going up against Grace is kind of making him the tweener.

RE: Wood taking a Seth Rollins route.
I like the idea but if Wood and Jones were to team up I'd want it to be Jones as the one doing the dirty work and trying to protect Wood. I hate the idea of Wood being the coward as I think the booking of Rollins sometimes makes him look weak despite him being an amazing wrestler.

Rollins has been booked awfully as champ but booked great as a heel, i do feel he needs to have that moment were the deck is stacked against him and he wins on his own otherwise for me he'll just be the champ that relied on two cruiserweights as his muscle

Re: 6CW Chat v5
For a blueprint on Tweeners you have to look no further than Keith Leone during the second invasion storyline, his character was immense, he was hated by 6WF and 6CW fans but he did what he had to do to win whether it be against friend or foe

So can you see title changes across the board at NoG and if so who will be the new champs elect

I can see Thunder winning the International Title, Dicey winning the Extreme Title and maybe the Forgotten winning the Tag Titles. I think the 6CW, EWF and UK Titles will all be retained though.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
Yeah I think Thunder will win, can see Joshua winning as well. I can't see him owning the Gateway to glory and then beating pretty much everything put in his way only for him to lose the title match
Costello v Leone is the hardest match to call for me

That's because it goes against everything he's ever shown, he's shown heelish tactics in the past, he's shown violent tactics but he's never been a coward. I don't care what the fans think...I just wouldn't want to play a coward, it doesn't interest me at all.

We all know who the heel coward champ will be when he gets his go. Grace will not be a stand up guy kinda champ.

A win by whatever way necessary. Flies in the face of his current mantra of just putting on a good show.
I think GazzyD is more likely to beat Joshua as if it's the last match, it's a fitting end to the PPV. Joshua may simply become a Gateway to Glory expert which doesn't mean he can transfer that form to a normal match. I love how he has been built up though, it's been a while since a monster heel was on the loose.

Picture this, Joshua stands holding the 6CW title as the fans are stunned to silence and lights go down ushering a dark new time for the company.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
It's funny you say that viper because I really enjoy playing a cowardly heel, in fact sometimes I don't think Costello is cowardly enough... I see him in that Jericho WHC run when he won superstar of the year, or Triple H from judgement day against the rock... Has talent can pull it out of the bag when needed but relies more on game playing, his intellect and guile. He should be that character that would sell out his own mother to get what he wants rather than a dominate heel like enforcer or Max

I cut a little teaser promo for my forthcoming debut! It was kinda short, but it WAS a teaser :P
It was actually a last minute tweak to my character based on some ideas I shot back and forth with my brain this weekend. Hope its not too "ridiculous" or Bray Wyatt-esque. I promise the lantern was only for the sake of that one promo! xD

Quite a way to introduce yourself. Very good teaser mate.
What does your character look like? Can't help thinking about the Bray connections now, so may want to clear that up!

Re: Cowardly heels
I've never enjoyed the idea of playing one...with Austin Stevens he was foul mouthed and had nothing to lose so nothing was going to scare him at any point...I liked that his whole thing was that he wanted to hurt people to get rid of the pain he felt.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
The image I always get is somewhat closer to the look of Neville, or at least body build wise. Perhaps with a slightly more menacing, less elf looking face. Like I said, yeah first promo was way Bray-esque, but it should evolve in the coming weeks. After that, all(Or at least most) of the similarities should end. Cryptic ways will probably remain though

Nothing at all. I'm usually in work of a showday, so I usually go through the usual 5 stages of grief, well except for the acceptance bit and then Depending if I'm free or not I'll read the show as its posted, or if not I'll do a quick scan of the show as I'm trying to sleep, looking out of the key points and then usually read it properly a day or two later

No show day ritual for me except for the genuine excitement I get ahead of posting - A mix of nervousness and excitement hoping you will like what we have put together
Just sat watching The Thomas The Tank Engine show at Butlins so a little bit different than normal
