Who's this Harrington guy leading the Irish charge? sirbenson must be beside himself, probably beside Padraig also.

Meanwhile you try to score cheap points with a young bloke just trying to make his way in the game. I expect you enjoy it.
There is just something of the Keegan Bradley's about Matty. I am sure he is nice guy.

Not by those of us that picked him in the fantasy league for the last two weeks!
To be fair.. he might just net you guys some points today for worst round

Should Rory take a tiger like break from the game until his game is good enough to compete?

Re: Irish Open
If sirbenson's checking in, he might be interested to know that one Irishman not at RCD, Seamus Power, has an early 2-shot lead on the web.com Tour. Early days yet but he shot a 10-under par 61, love to see the guys who can go low.
Englishman Kelvin Day is currently in 5th place, five under par after 9 holes.

What do you think the cut will be?
As that can be his only goal.

Rory up 20 spots on the leaderboard without hitting a shot yet, not that it's gonna do him any good I suppose. My guess is cut maybe m to +5... so he'd need a 67 to get to that number... don't see it happening in these conditions... Oh well... maybe Hoey or GMac can give the N.I. crowd something to cheer about this weekend.

Jonathan Moore's 13? Serves him right for eagling his first hole of the tournament.
And REALLY serves him right for holing the winning putt in the RCD 2007 Walker Cup. Rory's revenge.

Good rant Kwini!!!
Any idea how he managed such a high total. I find it amazing a pro can get more than a quad at golf holes, let alone taking 13 shots!!

He missed the putt for a 12? Could have been a touch of the Kevin Na's where he just kept whacking away

Almost looks like Luke and Danny Willett are going through a Ryder Cup audition with DC looking on.
We have Gary Murphy doing the on-course commentary - quite like him, very understated but knows his stuff, and those gorgeous RCD greens.

I wasn't going to bite, but I will. I thought the greens were ridiculous to claim as being something special, but the route? How on earth is that special?

Just checked in here for the first time in a long time. May just check out again quickly reading this! Same Poopie different day.... Hope to see Chris Wood have a good weekend. He has had a difficult time since the end of last year with his wrist injury, but looks to be back in full flow now.

Re: Irish Open
Was down at the golf Wednesday-Friday. I've played RCD in my University days and love it but even I was surprised how well it looked with the grandstands etc. People talk about the beauty of Pebble Beach and rightly so but there's few finer sights in world golf than RCD on a clear day. No matter who wins this week the real star is the course.

Rickie Fowler going back to the high numbers: eagle, snowman, the Rickie of old.

Re: Irish Open
Chance for Willett and Wood to "post a score". Even par may not win, but it won't be far away - scoring average today is north of 76 strokes.
An Open Championship qualification for Wood to play for also.

Willett is in the clubhouse at even?
I think Pedro is a little optimistic, so does even par have a chance?

You would think one of the players under par at the moment will break 38/39 for the back nine, but they are making a bit of a mess of it at the moment.

Darren Clarke the leading Irish player, Northern or Eire.
Seldom seen a tournament with so few putts over ten feet holed and so many under four feet missed.

With so many players at -2 or better after 7-9 you would think at least one could complete the remainder in par?
