Paul Casey shot the low round of 65 to get into a playoff with Bubba Watson.  Watson won it at the second extra hole and this one two combination meant LadyPutt and CJB catapulted to the top of the leaderboard overtaking third round leaders BlueCoverman and EmmDee57.  LadyPutt had five picks in action over the weekend and all five finished 15th or better.  Newcomer Owen10ozzy continued his impressive start with four of his picks scoring.  CJB, EmmDee57, and Eyetoldyouso each had three picks score.  Hibbz and Pedro both had two picks score while 1GrumpyGolfer, Beninho, BlueCoverman, Davie, I'm Never Wrong, Kwinigolfer, McLaren, Raycastleunited, Sand, SetupDetermines, SirBenson, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all had one pick varying from the winner to fifteenth place score points.

Paul Casey's low round points were earned by CJB, LadyPutt, Owen10ozzy, and Super_Realist.  Mark Hubbard shot 75 for the worst round.  Hubbard also finished joint last with Eric Axley.

Now that the U.S. Open is over it's back to a green, manicured, golf course and a veritable birdie fest which is the Travelers Championship.  Lots of the big names were playing the weekend in Washington and some weren't.  Former winner Bubba Watson is the headliner despite slipping down in the world rankings.

In recent past this has been a haven for a first win with six of the last nine, including Watson, having done so.  Kevin Streelman is the defending champion after his hot birdie streak propelled him to victory last year.  He's joined by several other former winners; Ken Duke, Marc Leishman, Stewart Cink, and Hunter Mahan.  There has only been one winner that has managed to defend the Hartford crown and that was Phil Mickelson.  Of the former champions playing Stewart Cink has won it more than once.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.
