Renaldo Snipes v Lionel Washington

Remember Snipes putting Holmes on his backside when they fought for the H/W title. Snipes was a decent pro back in the early 80's but never made it far enough. Also read a biography of Sammy 'the bull' Gravano who stated that he used to spar with Snipes in Teddy Atlas's gym in New York back then.

Check out Caveman Lee-John LoCicero for a similarly absurd slugfest that the passage of time has perhaps consigned to a place further below the radar than it deserves. Quite ridiculous, really, and great fun.

One other, for a British title back in the early 80s - Feeney v Cattouse for the lightweight crown, which went 14 and was one of the best I ever saw at that level.
