Khan to face Pac

Amir Khan has been offered a fight with Manny Pac in the middle east prob Dubai.

Bob Arum will open talks this week as it looks as tho Khans hope of facing TBE Maywether has finally gone.

Can Khan afford to reject this fight?

Surely Pac is on ''his level'' unlike Brook.

What is your thoughts on this can Khan win?

I think you'd have to put Pacquiao as a huge favourite, although with his advancing years and coming back from surgery it could be that Khan might just catch him at the right time...

Would probably bet on a Pacquiao KO or Khan UD

Khan is backed in to a hole and if true has no excuse to back out of.

He has said before he used to beat Pac in sparring (apparently denied by everyone but him).

Refuses to fight Brook saying he isn't a big name so can't turn down the second biggest name after Floyd.

I've had a rotator cuff injury that was less serious than Manny's and it took about four months to get back to normal...

Unless Manny is bullcrapping he ain't fighting till spring next year..

Manny Pacquiao had f..k all injury, He was taking selfies and raising both arms regulary. Just an excuse to warrant a rematch.

Well he is ducking me to be fair, you never hear him mention me in his interviews etc.

Perhaps if Manny goes and beats some half decent fighters then Khan would consider it. But not until Manny has proved himself.

He's got a good resume with quality on it....We all know Brook v Khan is going to happen....

He's being a prat for sure with all this waiting for Mayweather....

But it's hard to take seriously he's ducking when the guy he wants is the best around....

Manny will have some level of incapacatitation from his injury......Khan has a better jab... is quicker... and Manny is getting older everyday.....

No doubt Khan thinks he can beat Brook. Most people would agree it's quite a difficult fight to call.

I think he was waiting for a shot at Mayweather - he would get well paid and not too serious a beating - plus the chance that Mayweather gets old overnight. If he loses, then it doesn't really matter as everyone would lose to Mayweather. He can then take the Brook fight without too much damage to his reputation.

If he fights Brook and loses then his career at the top level is pretty much finished.

I think his reasons for not taking the Brook fight were cowpat, but I suspect he'll take it once its clear he has no chance of Mayweather. Might hold out for another year or so yet.

Hard one to pick considering both Khan's and Pacquiao's recent dire performances.

Few years back and it's career ending fight for khan. These days, Khan possibly beats pacman as pac does great against fighters wearing 50kg shoes.

Al haymon and top rank working together again for a run of the mill fight for manny. Highly sceptical, I'm with Scott, Khan gets mooted for a fight in Dubai every 6 months. Those Arabs are wumming again.

Khan's career is what happens if Schrodinger was a boxing fan. Is he or is he not elite? We don't Frak.ng know, he's always waiting to prove he's elite.

I think a lot of people have Khan wrong. He is looking for the biggest fights. Assuming Mayweather does go into semi retirement after Berto I would expect Khan to look at facing Brook or Pacquiao in the Summer. His whole gig for the last couple of years has been trying to land a fight with Mayweather and he has perpetually been strung along that the fight is just around the corner.

Khans looking the retirement fund. He will go the same way as Hatton.

Pacquiao leaves him snoring and I believe Brook will as well.

He's snored once in 7 years and he was winning that fight comfortably....

Quicker than Manny.......Better jab than Manny..Taller with a longer reach than Manny......Younger than Manny....

Manny is getting old.....He's got shoulder trouble and he'll have been out nearly a year when he comes back...

The problem people have when discussing Hoppo,Manny and May matchups is they forget their ages....

They are deteriorating and will continue to deteriorate..

What if Canelo gets him at the right time say inside the next 18 mths. GGG is getting older, he may wind up being too slow.

Pacquiao should win this easily.

Even if he doesn't stop Khan he will beat him up good, Pacquiaos style is a nightmare for Khan.

Khan ambushes you, Pacquiao will follow him after the ambush and nail him, when Khan doesn't have a clue what to do except circle the ring. Pacquiao is also an excellent counter puncher, which will be shown when Khan gets nailed throwing his own shots.

If he stays ultra discipled he might be able to outbox Pacquiao and nick a decision, but I don't see that happening at all.

Why are Khan and Garcia both in the frame to get Pac?

Neither deserve a big fight at welterweight yet. Neither have proven they can beat a top welterweight yet. People just don't see it though.

Khan/Brook, Garcia/Thurman. Winners of these two face off. Winner is then proven, can get Floyd or Pac. Welterweight is a joke at the minute. Sooner Floyd retires the better.

He almost got shut out in a completely one sided affair. Rios hasn't done anything since. I forgot that going 12 rounds with someone gained you any sort of credibility after a performance as well.

Regarding Garcia and Khan facing Pacquiao it is pretty black and white as to the reasons why he'd face them i.e. little risk for a nice reward. Looking forwards to your "speed, speed kills" at which point I'll save you the trouble by saying it's timing that kills if you put the two side by side.
