Re: Munster v Glasgow Warriors, 2 October
Do Glasgow have 23 available and fit players able to play in something like their normal positions?
If we can get a losing bonus out of this it will be, well, a bonus!

Forgot about this...should be a strong enough Munster team with all the foreign element fit...

Because he's Irish and funny and I wanted to use Kevin Bridges for Glasgow.
Sometimes it's really quite difficult to pick people with accurate provincial ties whom I haven't used before. So please don't tell me that he wasn't born in Munster, etc. I know. I know.

Fair enough but it would be like putting Rory Bremner (ugh) up for Glasgow. He's from friggin Leinster. Put up The Rubberbandits (i.e your average Limerick person)

Can you name anyone specific? I'll put them up. Please don't make me put up POM's big shiny face. I come to these boards for a pint of banter, a half of sarcasm and a bit of light eye candy.ME-109 wrote:Fair enough but it would be like putting Rory Bremner (ugh) up for Glasgow. Mrs GC likes Dylan Moran about fifty times more than she likes me. Maybe I should take up smoking and look like I've just rolled out of a hedge.

Fun fact for the day - Dylan Moran lives in Edinburgh! Clever man.
He's often seen frequenting the cafes and bars of Stockbridge and the New Town.

Mrs fES is similarly enamoured with Dylan Moran. We watch the entire Black Books at least once a year.

Una Healy (now Foden) is a Munster woman with dodgy taste in men.

You could go for Terry Wogan who is a Limerick man.

Munster:
Felix Jones - capt.; Andrew Conway, David Johnston, Tyler Bleyendaal, Gerhard van den Heever; Ian Keatley, Duncan Williams; James Cronin, Duncan Casey, Stephen Archer; Mark Chisholm, Dave Foley; Dave O'Callaghan, Jack O'Donoghue, CJ Stander
Replacements: Mike Sherry, Dave Kilcoyne, BJ Botha, Robin Copeland, Jordan Coghlan, Cathal Sheridan, Rory Scannell, Shane Monahan
Very different looking side to the one which battered the Ospreys.
Munster fans care to comment?

Meh, not bad. Strong bench, relatively speaking.RDW_Scotland wrote:

Jeez, Glasgow in dire trouble if Blake is the best 13 available!!
That pack is going backwards as well: 4-8 is very lightweight indeed.
An LBP would be a massive achievement for that group of players.

This game should come with a graphic warning, this could really get ugly if the Munster of old show up against that lightweight pack.

We're 0-3 up.

If it was a game of scrums only we would win no problem. As it requires Munster to also play some rugby then I wouldnt go away too soon...

We need probably about two more yellow cards to go our way. We might win then

I suspect this is a question of who can outscore whom - the Munster forwards or the Glasgow backs.

Unable to watch this, so getting text updates only.
How has it been going? 13-9 away to Munster is not bad given that we've had to soak up a yellow.

18-13 Glasgow. 20 players down and Glasgow still playing with perpetual motion, Munster looking a bit lost!

Final score 23-21. That was really tight, could have gone either way.
Well done both sides but I am happy enough, I saw a lot to be encouraged about from the the Glasgow kids, the future is bright enough!

Annoyed we let a lead slip (and Toonie will be too) but I would definitely have taken an LBP before the game.
That was a very much stronger Munster side than ours, relatively speaking.

Munster ground it out in the end, in the traditional red shirted way and fair play to them. On paper though they were a much stronger side than Glasgow and should have won this comfortably. I am very happy with what we have got from our first three games, it is a long season and we are only going to get stronger. I just love it that we still play this way even with such an inexperienced side, Glasgow remind you that rugby can be a beautiful game!

Respect Glasgow. No team with Blake at 13 has any right to be so competitive in Munster.
