Liam Smith V Mosley
Apparently Shane Mosley will challenge Liam Smith for the WBO world title on the under card of Lee v Saunders.
Not sure what Mosley has done to deserve this shot considering he's fought once in two years and that was against a fat out of shape Mayorga.
I like Mosley although his best days are well behind him (he's only won 2 of his last 7), only consolation is its not a main event and on the under card to a great fight.

Risky for Smith.
Damned if you do damned if you don't. If he wins early, then he only beat a washed up over the hill aging Mosley
If he struggles then he won't look very good.
Still a very good name to have on your resume. I just feel Mosley could surprise a few for some reason.

Smith will throw much more punches, but Mosley will land slightly more
. Smith will get the win though.
That's how I see it going anyway.

I was wondering what smith had done to deserve a fight with Mosley.
Sad that fighters like Mosley still need the money/think they still have it while giving a name on the resume of a fighter not fit to carry their jock in their prime. But hey it's always happened.

I would be happy for him if this came off.

Going to see Mosley would be on a par with the times Tommy Hearns and Barrera fought over here. Great for the nostalgia but tinged with sadness that, in their primes, they'd have wiped the f*cking floor with the guys they faced.

Mosley has very little motivation once the fight starts. Don't see him winning away from home. At least he's covering up and not getting hurt though. He's just basically a journeyman with a name now

Why is Mosley still fighting?
Give him a punchers chance, which isn't really that much of a chance, sad to see legends getting beat downs by people who wouldn't have been anywhere near them in their primes

Mosely was a class act, but is 44 and was past he's best 8 years ago.
I haven't got a clue how Mosely has landed a world title shot,(rankings obviously don't count), Smith's management obviously feel its a no risk title defence against a has been, disgraceful.
Sugar Shane could always hit, I hope he throws one hail mary and puts Smith's lights out.
