Ash vs Evil Dead
The return of Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell catches up with Ash 30 years after his first encounter with the Evil Dead...and now they're back. Anyone who knows or remembers the films will probably love this.

I need to get on this, many of my friends have given it good reviews, and it has to be better than the godawful Evil Dead remake.
Medieval Dead is quality... Plus Bruce Campbell

Re: Ash vs Evil Dead
The only fly in the ointment is that this is set in the current day and doesn't explain how Ash got here after the end of Army of Darkness when he took too much of the sleeping potion. I'm hoping they'll at least touch upon the thorny subject but I won't let it spoil my enjoyment. After all it is only episode one.
Look out for a cameo from Lucy Lawless (Xena Warrior Princess) as well. She still looks fine and I'm sure sean would "have a go on it"

There are two endings to part 3 - I actually prefer the other ending where he gets back and is working back in the QuickieMart (or whatever it was called).
I would guess that they took this route for the series.

Value Stop (he's still working there) Clearly I've never seen the alternate ending which now makes everything ok with what I just watched today. Of course now I'll have to go an download the Evil Dead trilogy againAdam D wrote:There are two endings to part 3 - I actually prefer the other ending where he gets back and is working back in the QuickieMart (or whatever it was called).

Thought it was S-Mart
as in "shop smart, shop S-Mart"
Anyhoo, I prefer the hail to the king baby ending too...

I don't think the 'still looks fine' is a necessity for Sean having a go on it.DAVE667 wrote:The only fly in the ointment is that this is set in the current day and doesn't explain how Ash got here after the end of Army of Darkness when he took too much of the sleeping potion. Sean would probably do Campbell's female neighbor in the showHero wrote:I don't think the 'still looks fine' is a necessity for Sean having a go on it.DAVE667 wrote:The only fly in the ointment is that this is set in the current day and doesn't explain how Ash got here after the end of Army of Darkness when he took too much of the sleeping potion. It was a brilliant premise but slightly underwhelming in my opinion.

I'm a big Joe Lansdale fan so I enjoyed it but utterly loathed the film version of another of his stories, "Cold in July" ....absolute cackAdam D wrote:DAVE667 wrote:Am also going to rewatch Bubba Ho-Tep...bloody love that film!

Second series just started, still loving it.
Nice little cameo from Lee Majors...won't spoil it (if anyone's watching it)
