Gears of War

Been playing the second game of the series recently and I have realised again just how good the gameplay is. I have struggled to put the controller down and I cannot wait for the third game to come out.

Anyone else looking forward to its release?
Anything you'd like to see improved from the past installments?

I thought the first GoW was revolutionary. The cover system was great, it was funny and the blood and guys were superb. It also had an amazing storyline to boot.

I was a little disappointed with the second installment. It was basically the same game as GoW1 but with a couple of adjustments here and there. Horde was a good addition, but apart from that, it was the same game.

I hope the third one takes GoW to a new level.

I have loved both Gears of War games as I think they have got the balance between a good storyline and multiplayer just right, something I don't think CoD has done yet, because their campaigns always seem a bit of a side-thing for the game, with the main focus on the multiplayer. Something I am not keen on.

I always thought that Gears also got it perfectly with the whole campaign where it can work equally well alone or in co-op which is great.

I also prefer Horde to Nazi zombies.

Absolutely love Gears of War. Horde mode is miles better than Zombies.
