V2 WWC 2nd Round Group D
A Mexican, a Samoan, 2 Canadians and a Japanese guy walk into a bar, it's either a horribly racist joke or the next instalment of the V2 WWC
Please vote for the wrestler/team you believe has generated the best work in the past 12-18 months
Remember for the 2nd round onwards only 1 vote per group is permitted
Please leave a comment as to who you have voted for and why to help facilitate discussion
The group will be closed at 23.00 tonight and no votes will be counted past that point
The wrestler/team that recieves the most votes will progress in to the quarter finals

I may abstain from voting. I have no idea here.

Re: V2 WWC 2nd Round Group D
My first problem in this group is that I'm finding it difficult to think about ADR and AEP as an entity and how do I judge them. I'd written him off as just turning up to WWE for the money until his Survivor Series match against Reigns, where he put in some effort, that was more akin with how he had been bringing it in AAA and LU. Right up until that match it was hard to think these were the same wrestler at all.
Luckily the presence of Okada makes this really simple for me. I think he's worked the best matches of the list this year, he's quite clearly the top man in New Japan, I find him a super charismatic presence in the ring. And at only 28 there's hopefully a lot, lot more to come.

Re: V2 WWC 2nd Round Group D
I've gone for Roman Reigns who has continued to improve over the last year, each year he has gotten better. I do think his booking is poor, but as a performer he has been good, he just needs to have his weaknesses highlighted less. If Brock Lesnar was given Reigns' promos he'd look stupid, Reigns works as a silent destroyer. Despite his poor booking there has been a lot of good work from Reigns over the last year.
Alberto Del Rio is one of the most boring members of the WWE roster and even looking at some of his Lucha Underground work he's one of the least entertaining aspects of that show. He's a vacuum for entertainment.
Chris Jericho hasn't wrestling enough and when he has wrestled I don't think he's been that good to be honest. He simply lost what made him special nearly 5 years ago. I just want him to stay away now, which is a shame as from 2008-2010 he was probably the best thing in WWE.

Del Rio is arguably my least favourite wrestler.

A 3rd IWGP heavyweight title at 28. Retired the legendary Tenryu and still struggling for votes. Come on Rainmaker!

He may have only been champion for 2 minutes but Roman Reigns is through to the quarter finals and no one can take that away from him
The V2 WWC 2nd round resumes tomorrow with Groups E & F
