Re: V2 WWC 2nd Round Group H
I've gone John Cena for this one. He's had consistently good matches with everybody he has faced over the past year, he's dropped out of the main event picture and allowed, for the most part, for his wrestling to do most of the work.
I think Sasha Banks, whilst one of the better Divas is hugely overrated amongst the internet fan-base, I think people want the women to succeed and as such give them a bit too much credit for matches that wouldn't garner the same reaction if they were male wrestlers.
Triple H has not only been one of the most consistently worst parts of Raw he's also barely wrestled in the last 18 months. His promos are almost always too long and meander to the point that whatever purpose they were going to serve ends up being lost and he spends more time making sure that he and his wife are over than most of the actual talent.

This is a tough one between Banks and Cena. Cena is doing great work with a lot of other guys but at the end of the day whos in a better position now after answering the challenge? Sasha is the best womans wrestler on the planet right now. Every match she had for the NXT title was absolute gold with a couple that dont look out of place on a match of the year list.
Tough tough call. Both have had matches I loved and would watch again, both have had a couple of low points. Argh. Screw it. Sasha gets the vote.

Yeah Ospreay's not winning this, but I voted for him anyway. Big fan of Sasha and Cena in the past 12 months, but went heart over head and voted for a guy who has been exceptional in the UK indy scene.

I like Sasha (and have a photo of her in some great shorts as my laptop background) but have to go for big match John, Maggle! Less poo jokes, more matches with good ideas and reasoning. They blew a lot of that hard work by giving Del Rio the title, but John can't be blamed for Dorito being mundane.

If you had awards for WWE MVP, women's wrestler of the year, young wrestler of the year and booker of the year, you'd have no complaints from me if these were your winners.
As we are not looking for Booker of the year, I rule out HHH anway (who I'm probably generously giving the full credit of NXT to, but I think at least he paints the broad brush strokes that others then fill in).
Cena has done some of the best work in WWE this year. His US title defences were mostly really very good. Now, we can argue whether it is Cena's fault or not that he goes over everyone. My argument would be that he has a degree of creative control, so he has at least a partial responsibility. And I therefore take a mark off him by so many going through the Cena feud and not coming out stronger the other side. But that is a small mark. Bigger marks, were the increasingly silly and poor matches with Rusev and probably the worst Stunner I've ever seen.
Ospreay is not only a great young wrestler, but also a great high flyer. He was part of the Progress story with Jimmy Havoc and he's had some really great matches. Maybe 2016 will be his year. Because I'd be doing a disservice to Sasha Banks if I didn't vote for her. Hopefully she is given the chance to shine in WWE soon, because it will be a huge shame if they waste one of their best wrestlers on both their male and female rosters.

Voted for Sasha Banks, yes Cena had some great matches and (sort of) put over Owens, Sasha's progress (in context) has been far superior. A big reason why people are becoming interested in womens wrestling again and has main evented a PPV ( or whatever they're called now) absolutely at the top of her game and she's only 23.
Can't think of a wrestler that was so complete at the same age.

Voting is closed (sorry for the delay I was in the pub)
In the closest contest of the day Sasha Banks staged an incredible comeback (from when I last checked anyway) to overtake John Cena with 12 votes to the 15x World Champions 10
The V2 WWC resumes on Monday with the start of the quarter finals
