I think it depends character by character, if there's a story you think they fit in and you know they are reliable I don't have an issue with it. But I don't think they should automatically take the spot of a guy that's been around a while just because they've been around before

I they come back for revenge on someone that took them out I see no problem with them slipping in if the guy is up the ladder, as Steel said it's character by character really

Re: 6CW Chat v9
I suppose it's (with all respect) the Cameron Faith question.
New character as far as 6CW is concerned, given a storyline with a (potentially) World Title shot carried over from some other company. Immediately ahead of others when in theory should come in at the bottom.
I don't mind it at all, and I'm only presuming that's the kind of thing the original question is about, but it's interesting for characters to come in with a backstory rather from scratch for a change.

I've just returned not knowing what was planned, I'd rather come in and work my way back up the roster, rather then come in and be tossed straight into the main event fold. It's nice to main event but I dont think it's everything, I like having the opportunity to build the character back up

Re: 6CW Chat v9
I think this is were your point of view comes in.
See is it a potential world title shot for Faith, or is it a potential world title shot for one of the guys fighting for 6CW.
Costello last show already showed an interest as a way for him to climb back up the card.
Could for instance Grace or Adamson or Costello take it from him giving them a weapon againt the forgotten.
(I'm a pessimist if you hadnt guessed lol)

I think if you're in 6CW to "win" stuff, you won't enjoy it. Just enjoy the storylines and focus on your own character as much as you can and it'll be fine.
I'm absolutely swamped with work but still enjoy making time to promo, when in 6WF in the past I've lost interest during the same personal circumstances of work getting in the way and ended up leaving for a while.

Thats what i am saying though, i am assuming it is a storyline tool to be used further down the line but for now t is a tool to be used to develop Faith character as a heel within 6CW.

Its always nice to win a belt and have a nice run but its not the be all and end all, I enjoy the creative writing part (especially the erotic ) as long as the guy im against its active and is up for it I dont mind

Back on guys, obviously with flood and power cuts not had much access as we were told to save power, the whole of Lancaster has been running on generators this week that occasionally went down. Still no traffic lights around time which is a nightmare, I live on a hill so not affected by the actual floods thankfully.
Will put a promo up this weekend hopefully.

It doesnt just apply to 6WF people, there have been characters from 6CW past and present who have popped in and out. Was just interested to see the thoughts, get some discussion going.

In the case of guys from 6CW's past, you can't say WWE would, in 12 months time when Randy Orton returns, put him in the bottom of the card feuding with new guys when he'll have prior history and old scores to settle in the main event.

100%, but then it depends on stature, the context and their importance. Flair would get a huge spot if he returned by WWE logic, but he should be used to put people over really.

Re: 6CW Chat v9
It's always the difficulty of the people running the feds to write compelling stories that make sense and make use of history whilst also keeping people happy. It's no secret that returns do create a lot of interest and to keep that coherent from a story perspective those people with their reputations and their fictional history should be reflected in their positioning on the card. The best scenario is that once those people do return that they keep up their previous levels which got them into that position in the first place and then it's hard to complain as whilst they may not have been putting the quantity, their quality has remained consistent and over time you forget they were gone. The worst case scenario is when they return and don't promo but when you're running the fed you always hope they will do because you have a lot of plans and fun stories that you're planning that then fall apart.
Some feds elsewhere on the internet and in theory when 6WF first came about on BBC 606, it was done on a match by match basis, the best promo from that particular match meant that person won. This however doesn't create interesting storylines which is the main draw to doing this kind of thing, the people running don't have time to create long-running coherent stories as they are always judging who wrote best this week. It's an incredibly hard balancing job and I can't think of a time in 6WF or 6CW where everybody has been happy with it.
The returns is the most difficult topic because you want to create a cool, exciting story without annoying those already here, but you also want the person returning to stay interested.

Re: 6CW Chat v9
I missed out on the QOTD the other day so I thought I'd weigh in...I think when it comes to debuts/returns for well known names then it has to be a case by case basis...I think as others have said it depends on a few things such as story lines they can drop in to, why they are coming to 6CW (a return or from another company) and most importantly for me...why they left in the first place. For me personally I think that if someone has left in the past then putting them back in right at the top no matter how good they are is a bit of a risk, I also think that it can be a bit unfair if someone has been gone a long time just to walk in to the top slots/best storylines when people have been working hard all year to keep the fed going.
I have to say that in the past I think 6CW has worked with returning stars and big names really well...JJ Johnson and Keith Leone's returns worked really well because it brought them in up the card but away from the titles,,,I also think the Forgotten has been another good way to bring in/bring back guys.

My daughter's headmistress is an idiot, but she at least likes nativity plays.
I couldn't help commenting to my wife that the headmistress looks like Booker T, I only came back down to earth when my wife said she doesn't know who Booker T is...

I say Masters has had the best year, he was built up as the new big thing and delivered
Personally I think Dicey has had a good half of year since his return, the battle for the tag titles with PJ against Red Arrows, Jacks betrayal and feud that came after and then the Wood feud which surprised a lot of people how goods it's been

Re: 6CW Chat v9
I think Joshua and Masters have clearly had great years with winning the respective world titles...I'd also add Red Arrows to the list, their record reign ended but they got their N.O.G moment and are ending the year as number one contenders. Thunder is another name I'd add to the list, since his return he's been pushed to the main event and won the International Title, he's probably got the biggest push from the Forgotten storyline and I look forward to seeing where 2016 takes him.
2015 for me personally has been cool...I'm still kind of working out Perez but Stevens is part of the biggest storyline/won the tag titles and Wood for me has had an amazing year (unless you count PPV wins). This year Wood has had feuds with Joshua, Masters and Dicey...three feuds that have challenged me to push myself as a promoer and I'm crossing my fingers that 2016 can continue to do so starting with part 2 of the Wood/Dicey feud.

Re: 6CW Chat v9
I would say the Red Arrows myself. A team that has done so well as a unit that can now be viewed (with credibility) as separate big title contenders. That evolution has been very good.
Personally this has been my best and most enjoyable year ever in efedding but I think next year might top it. I am looking forward to seeing how both my characters evolve now.

I'd tell myself that I was an idiot for trying to take on the world champ at the time in my very first promo, of tell my younger self to enjoy the build up of the character rather than just going straight for titles .id also maybe done so more reasearch into actual wrestling moves before creating my character to give him a more varied move set

Re: 6CW Chat v9
I'm not sure I'd change anything really as Wood from the start has been the sort of character I've wanted him to be...I think a few things I'd tell myself though:
1. Not every idea you have needs to be made in to a character...this includes the Death Squad (I like the team but couldn't find them a proper voice), El Guerero (Althought I do still enjoy this character), The Pundertaker (Thank god that was never even entertained) and a guy called CPU who would have been my second character who was based on computer games and would travel around in a box like Snake from Metal Gear Solid.
2. Great feuds > Title runs...when the TV Title was taken away and then Wood lost the World Title I was a bit gutted and it took me a while to realise that although Wood didn't have a title he was being given huge matches and main events that were shaping the character.

I'm not sure actually...before I did it I pretty much did the stuff I do now like graphic design and making music. I'd probably just waste more time on my playstation or watching movies/TV...I'd still probably do some sort of wrestling fantasy thing, when I was younger I used to write my own wrestling shows with custom roster members.
