Rob Harley could.

So,
Murchie
Junior
Sandy Lyle
Samuel Johnson
Gregor Hunter
Fozzie
Oscar Peterson
D'Arcy Rae
Are all playing club rugby this weekend.
Hmmm, Gray-Naka-Swinson to share second row duties, Simonee in at 7, Horne-Pudding-Bennett-Richie V to provide three centres, Schlong-Seymour-Big T-Hoggie perm any three from four for the back three.

Disappointing that Junior isn't getting a chance from the bench, he looked good in the games he's played earlier in the season. Jones has been doing well in the 7s but we know he is unlikely to get back in to the Scotland 15s reckoning so I would be wanting to give Junior as much experience as possible as he is SQ and has the potential to be a really good player (and he is no doubt far faster than Lamont regardless of claims otherwise). Toonie Tombola not working well in this instance.

I can't see Scarlets laying a hand on Glasgow's fastest player. Lightening quick I tell you.
I'd be nervous were I a soap dodger. Tricky fixture this. Samson Lee could well make a mess of the Weegie scrum.

Re: Champions Cup Pool 3: Scarlets v Glasgow Warriors, 19 December
I am actually ok with that team. The back line is very strong, minus Hoggy, probably our strongest.
Tommy S will run the ball back to the Scarlets if they kick as badly as they did last week very effectively.
Its only really the front row (or the props more specifically) where we may have worries. The Tongan did ok last week and we have been talking Alex Allan up for a while, time for him to show us he can make the grade. Gordy Reid waits in the wings if he is struggling. both shoiuld benefit from having Frazer Brown back alongside them.
This is still a strong Glasgow team and the hard games will keep on coming thick and fast now, so a bit of mixing it up was always on the cards. This is actually pretty conservative by Toonie standards!

Last week was the first time of the season i have seen the Glasgow scrum going forward. In the match thread i asked what happened to Samson Lee's scrummaging, he is a shadow of what he is truly capable of.

If the Glasgow pack was outscrummaging him then there really must be something wrong!

Well he's up against a bit of a novice, so you'd like to think that an international prop would gain some advantage regardless of form. Time will tell my chunky friend.

He spent most of that game on the bench. Since his long-term injury he really hasn't got back to speed. It's about time he did if we're honest seeing as he has had enough training and game time.

He was flogged with a ruptured achilles that the WRU didn't give enough time to mend. Now he's a shadow of what he was. He'll need time and the summer off for it to mend properly.

That's a real shame, because he was shaping up to be a beast last season. A symptom of Wales having a lack of talented options at tighthead. Hopes pinned on Tomas Francis then....

No, a symptom of Wales' alleged lack of welfare towards players.

I would not pay any attention to it. Glasgow's destiny totally in their own hands. It just tells us what we already know, that neither of those two sides are unbeatable.

I spent ages trying to figure this one out, then Mrs Pip said I looked like Father Dougal trying to explain transubstantiation.
Glasgow still need to win three out of four. So after today we have home and away against the Luvvies, away to Racing, away to Northampton then home to Racing. We really need 5 wins out of that lot.
I expect the Tombola to be in overdrive over the next month.

Scarlets lucky to get away without a yellow there!
Horrific conditions.

We are getting destroyed in the scrum, which is worrying as there are going to be a lot of knock-ons tonight

Again makes you question Townsend's selections - this rain has been forecast a while yet he picked two poor scrummagers.

Glasgow will be fairly pleased with that half - it is win at all costs in these conditions and I can't see 4 tries being scored.
I do think they need to be a bit less harum-scarum and play more territory, not that that's Glasgows way!
