Sir Bobby Robson's was a decent read. His time with Ipswich is amusing. Amazing how easy going he was and the impeccable attitude he had towards people he worked with.
Andre Agassi's is also a compelling read. An athlete struggling with such a disdain for the sport he succeeded in.

Not strictly an autobiography, but I just finished Seven Deadly Sins by David Walsh. Is about Walsh's attempts to expose Lance Armstrong as a cheat and the toll it took on those who were telling the truth about Armstrong. Enjoyed it enormously. Armstrong is a scumbag.

I don't read autobiographies much, Sean, but Winning! by Clive Woodward is excellent.
Talks about his time as a player in Australia (Manly) at the same time as working as a sales rep for Rank Xerox. But the sections about how he facilitated the change from the amateur to professional era are superb. Say what you want about him, but I am still hearing professional coaches rattle on about stuff he was rattling on about from 1999 to 2003.
He can come across as very smug on the tv, but the book is less so.

I read Tyler Hamilton's book. Armstrong comes out of it similarly, massive bully.

Tried to buy that. A new one costs £62? May just get a kindle voucher and tell him to buy it.

"It's a minging life" by Ricky Holden (ex Oldham player). Great read, talks about his career, life in general and a lot about his time at Latics when Joe Royle gave us our twilight years!

Re: Sporting Autobiography
The American sports commentator Al Michaels' book is a pretty good read. If you're in to your NFL, baseball, ice hockey there's lost of stories about past players and also how his life lead him to be a sports broadcaster and everything that went with it.
I bought it whilst waiting for my flight back from Orlando and read it in about a week. It's called "You can't make this up".

He's not a mate. I just know him. Got busted for fraudulently selling specialized bikes.
