Federer out 'for at least one month'
First topic message reminder :
The guy who has somehow remained remarkably free of injury or physical ailments / impediments for the overwhelming majority (though of course not the entirety) of his playing career to date has apparently just undergone knee surgery.
Federer's agent is reported as saying that his man will be out for around one month.

Re: Federer out 'for at least one month'
Points only probably matter if he slips to 9th. At 3rd/4th he has a 50% chance of meeting both the top two anyway: 5th - 8th ditto (and avoids the other 5-8 guys), plus a 3/4th who he's probably better than anyway.
With the (shallow) depth the only real prize is 2nd but given absences and reductions in programme that's out of reach probably.

Yeah! That's a pretty straight sign he's planning for 2017.lydian wrote:Fed not retiring in 2016 then according to image above

"Rarely felt so happy to be back on a practice court”
Totally unsure about the tights. All white for Wimbledon?

Going off on a slight tangent - good to see Juan Martin del Potro has been given a wildcard for Indian Wells.
As for Roger it doesn't surprise me he will miss Indian Wells. Torn meniscus can be very tricky (I had one last year) and it is imperative you don't try to do too much too soon.
