Punk vs. Jericho
So, probably the two best in-ring entertainers in WWE right now, CM Punk and Chris Jericho, but which is the better all-rounder? I'm a huge Jericho mark myself (hence the username), but I also appreciate Punk's talent and ROH background. But which, in your opinion, is better? I'd say Jericho is slightly better on the mic, but Punk is slightly better in the ring, but what would you all say? Interested to find out what the general feeling is here.

I prefer Jericho and his wide range of moves to Punks kicks, Punks ring psychology seems to be better though

Yeah, Punk's moveset seems to be very much of a martial arts background.

Kicks and strikes, im not against that, I like wrestlers who just look like they batter the hell out of each other

Jericho for me. Punk is great as a heel...but only as a heel. Jericho has proved time and time again he can do anything and excel at it.

Re: Punk vs. Jericho
I'd say they are very close together in terms of abilities and it is probably why they are so over.
Of the two I would say Jericho is better, but that is just as things stand, and there is no reason Punk can't overtake if he has the career he should.
I can't split them on the mic, and I tend to find I lean towards Jericho in the ring...but that will change day to day.

Punk
I've always found Jericho to be very overrated, he's good don't get me wrong, very good even, but he's not great. His mic skills are good but I find he gets boring very quickly, his 'man of 1004 holds' stuff in WCW was good but it was strictly mid card comedy fair, I also found his Y2J phase in WWF got old fast and while I'll give him credit for re-inventing himself with his honest man shtick but that too also far exceed it's shelf life.
Punk on the otherhand has been building his character around his straight edge gimmick for nearly a decade now, and I could never tire of listening to him, already in WWE he has cut several classic promos, I for one could not see Jericho performing the'sermon on the mat'.
In terms of ring skills both men aren't as great as some would make out, given workers of equal or similar abilities they produce a good match, facing a weaker oppnenet both will struggle. In terms of manouveres Ive always though Punks moves look a bit crisper and the GTS pawns the codebreaker every time

I also think the GTS owns the Codebreaker but in fairness the Lion Tamer owns the Anaconda Vice

I think the GTS can be good, but when Jericho pulls the Codebreaker out of nowhere it does look awesome.

In the modern day I think Punks ring psychology is unparaelled. Jericho is a better allrounder with superior mic skills & better in ring mechanics.

totally disagree, the only time the Codebreaker looked good was when he caught Punk off the top rope in 08invincibleILeak (CL-6WF) wrote:I think the GTS can be good, but when Jericho pulls the Codebreaker out of nowhere it does look awesome.

i dunno i liked the one on edge at mania 26 as well as one on Mysterio on SD
as for the debate, i'm finding it really difficult to decide between the 2

I think that was the one I had in mind anyway.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Czh8Uv5Sepk&feature=related That one is a good one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftfk8GCxBrc&feature=related I think that looks pretty good.
I think the GTS looks brutal, but it can't surprise you like the Codebreaker can.

Re: Punk vs. Jericho
Personally, I prefer the codebreaker myself. Both look like they'd hurt a bit, but I've always prefered finishers that can be hit out of nowhere.

The Codebreaker just looks so weak, I expect better from Jericho

I think it looks more painful than most finishers.

And you found the edit button.
I probably should have put opinion in bold, you don't seem to understand what they are.
