It seems to affect the mobile site but not the standard one.

I don't use the mobile version. I have had this problem with a different forum lately so changed my browser (on my phone) when I use that. It was Safari with that site so now I use chrome.
Haven't had anything recently with the site myself but I'll go ask people.

Yeah there's an issue with the mobile site. it gives you 20 secs of the site then redirects to some crobo.com (along those lines) crap

Have you tried clearing your phone's browser? It may have something to do with certain cookies.

Re: Pop ups/diverts
The problem with some of the content blockers and the mobile version of this site is the login drop down sits on the ad bar and when you have some content blockers enabled this removes the drop down option
Without the content blocker the site would be unusable on an iPhone for me

Just a heads up
Attackers on ad2.darkbb.com may trick you into doing something dangerous like installing software or revealing your personal information (for example, passwords, phone numbers, or credit cards).
Keep getting redirected to this page after I post which is then blocked by work filters

Re: Pop ups/diverts
Hello all - I just reloaded my page and got redirected to Betfred. I'm a Betfred user so it's not a problem, but it's never happened before and I'm certain I didn't go to Betfred myself. Is this because of something my end? I hardly ever experience problems when I'm using V2, apart from the occasional slow service which can last up to half hour, but that's a rare occasion.

Re: Pop ups/diverts
Again we're not sure, I haven't personally experienced this, either at work, home or on mobile, so not sure why some users are experiencing it.
It could be the browser you're using, the internet connection you're using, extensions you've got installed on your browser. It could be the site's hosts are having issues with this.
We haven't done anything to the site to make this happen, so we're a bit at a loss as to how to stop it affecting individual users.

Re: Pop ups/diverts
Crimey I forgot to add - I often browse on my phone and it's fine for the most part. However it seems to go through periods of major diverts, all to gaming sites, which then diverts me to the apple store app, prompting me to download something. I once tried altering something on my phone to make it stop, it didn't work. I think this last happened around 4 weeks ago, but there doesn't seem to pattern for how and when it happens. I'm sure it's also nothing your end, but has anyone experienced similar and know how to get rid? Thanks.

Re: Pop ups/diverts
Not sure if anything is being planned to resolve these issues but these adverts are getting so much worse, both in terms of being badly inappropriate and volume of adverts...
Doesn't matter if I'm logged in or out, when I've browsing on here, without clicking anything, it auto redirects me to an advert described as better than tinder, and about 2 minutes ago, one advert that claimed to be better than a porn site which displayed two people going at it. I'm on my work computer so it has nothing to do with cookies, databases or web history and my boss sits right behind me in the office so I can't quite believe he didn't see it.
There's also an issue with the Time of posts on here - When logged out, it doesn't display the correct time, it's usually out by quite a few hours.

Just as a heads up, this is a host problem, it has nothing to do with our site or anything we can control directly. Many forums who use the same host have the exact same problem right now.

Re: Pop ups/diverts
Every time I try and open a particular thread on the Golf board (Define Hackers) on my iPad, it tries to download an App (so-called official Apple free one which I don't trust) rather than let me open the thread but if I open the thread on my laptop it's fine. Is there anything you can do to fix this one as well? It's bl***y annoying!

Ladyputt have you tried it on your Ipad using a different browser? If not give it a go. If it works your usual browser might just need a clearing of your cache. I had to do the same when I got stuck on the culture cup thread.

Constant diverts and shareware crap when viewing the site on mobile (Android). YOUR PHONE IS INFECTED, DOWNLOAD THIS TO CLEAN IT Trojan Poopie.
You really need to switch to a more reputable advertising provider.

Again, it has absolutely nothing to do with us, or the ads hosted on the site. It's a problem affecting the host of the site, it's affecting hundreds of thousands of forums across the internet right now. They are working on the problem, but we can't really do anything about it without removing the site.

Re: Pop ups/diverts
So your host has been hacked and their webservers are injecting malware links into served pages, and you HAVEN'T immediately take the site offline?
Sorry that is simply irresponsible. I've reported the site to google and suggest anyone else stays well away until the issue is resolved. It's only a matter of time before the next 0-day is found and you end up getting something nasty.

It's affecting a very small number of users, I haven't personally seen it in action, and I've used it from several devices. Like I said, clear your cookies and cache and see if the problem remains.

Go into your router and set your DNs to automatically obtain from ISP. It could be that the malware is in your router.
Then go to application manager and clear out all your data from your browser.

Re: Pop ups/diverts
I've seen this happen on several different connections (home internet, mobile etc.) and using multiple different DNS providers. It only ever happens on this site, and it is only intermittent, exactly what you'd expect if the host has been compromised by a malware agent that's trying to not be detected.
Seems to be OK at the moment. I'll report if it happens again because you do really need to get it sorted.
Silly name changes might be amusing but it won't be so funny when the next 0-day is found and your users get a nasty from it.

Depends which one you use possibly
I'm using Adblock running on Chrome
If I click the icon in the top corner, I can choose to disable it on pages on this domain .. which then floods me with adverts!

Bearing in mind AdBlock has a very very dodgy history, the original was shut down, any that now use the name "AdBlock" or "AdBlock" plus have been known to be very sketchy.

I use adblock plus for Chrome, and nothing for Microsoft Edge. I don't use Edge so much. I also use Malware Byes and CC Cleaner to give the drive a sweep now and then, and tend to run trouble free.
I've noticed there's an increase in sites refusing adblocker, so either switch it off, or switch to Edge, meaning I get a torrent of ads and have to clean up after use. I shouldn't complain though

Using AdBlock Plus and not had too many issue's, if any (fingers crossed). If I do get an issue, it's usually Flash, or just that I need to clear browser, or dump cookies.
