Weekend's boxing
Morning all,
Been looking at the card for DAVE and it doesn't look pretty.
Heavyweight David Haye 27 2 0 vs Arnold Gjergjaj 29 0 0
Middleweight Joe Mullender 9 1 0 vs Lee Markham 15 3 1
vacant BBBofC English middleweight title
Heavyweight Shannon Briggs 59 6 1 vs Jakov Gospic 17 14 0
Lightweight Floyd Moore 13 6 1 vs Yordan Vasilev 18 42 2
Heavyweight Nick Webb 5 0 0 vs Hari Miles 9 9 0
Welterweight Daniel Keenan 1 0 0 vs Dwayne Sheldon 0 2 0
Super LightweightKay Prospere 8 0 0 vs TBA
Light HeavyweightOllie Pattison 3 0 0 vs Bryn Wain 0 7 0
Light HeavyweightJoe Fournier 3 0 0 vs TBA
Super LightweightFahad Al Thani 1 0 0 vs TBA
Here's hoping something happens on the under card but I wouldn't be holding my breath.
Elsewhere
Denis Lebedev 28 2 0 S Victor Emilio Ramirez 22 2 1
IBF World cruiserweight title
WBA Super World cruiserweight title
Light Heavyweight Umar Salamov 15 0 0 S Bob Ajisafe 16 2 0
vacant International Boxing Organization World light heavyweight title
Happy for Bob Ajisafe is getting a chance at a title he has ground out a reasonably decent career and finally gets a little recognition for the hard work.
Bizarrely there is also an Elvis Presley and a Brad Pitt fighting at the weekend. Sadly not each other though. Although I think it would have been on DAVE had they been.
Cheers

The legendary TBA is going to be busy. 3 fights in the same night, all against unbeaten fighters at 2 different weights.
I sense at least one upset.

I forgot about Parker v Takam. Now that one does look a decent fight.

Is the undercard going to be on Dave then. I quite fancy seeing how the 2 time heavyweight Champ does. LET'S GO CHAMP

I'd imagine Briggs will be at the very least. They won't miss a chance to build that 'fight'

Re: Weekend's boxing
Be great how the talk about Briggs as the man who fought Lennox Lewis but conveniently forget to mention he had the sh!t kicked out of him.
Am hoping more than anything that, should Haye be victorious, Paul Dempsey gives him an absolute b*llocking in the post fight interview for picking this guy and whips the crowd into a frenzy and they demand Haye fight someone in the top ten next.
Been a fan of his for years but watching him bowl over these stiffs is about as satisfying as beating my children at snap

Hope Briggs gets beat and it's back to the drawing board for Haye in terms of choosing an opponent. One with a pulse and functioning brain would be ideal.

Re: Weekend's boxing
Even if Briggs wins I hope he stinks the joint out doing so. Failing that, I'd still like to see Dempsey telling Haye that a fight with Briggs is bullsh!t and that people won't stand for it
"The World doesn't want to see you fight Shannon Briggs, it wants to see you fight a legitimate HW contender and make a concerted push for a crack at the HW title. All this (gesturing to Briggs at ringside still screaming "Let's go, Champ!" is b*llocks David, you know it, I know it, these people here know it. The only person who doesn't know it is the poor deluded f*cktard in the baseball cap. Sort your f*cking life out Haye and start making changes!!!!"
