Great innings by Jack Taylor last night, but left far too much to do after some good opening bowling and a stunning catch for Mark Richardson. Commentators on sky often guilty of hyperbole - but I agree with them and cannot remember seeing a better catch up to the wicket by a keeper.

So semis of Notts v Northants and Yorks v Durham. First time all four finals day competitors have come from the same section.

On paper Notts and Yorks should be strengthened by the availability of Hales, Broad, root & Bairstow - but that could risk unsettleing the team dynamics that have propelled them to the last day. Was it Hampshire who declined to select an England player (KP?) for a finals day once?

Tiger - pretty sure Warks left Bell out for a final.

It will be a hard decision, especially for Notts.

For Yorkshire, without an overseas player, it makes sense (if released to play) to select Root ahead of Will Rhodes. It would be extremely harsh on Andy Hodd, but Bairstow coming back would be a huge improvement and would allow Bresnan and Plunkett to come in that little bit later as is more appropriate. Struggle to see a place available for Ballance unless skipper Lees is left out.

Northants seem intent on running quick singles - not really a side built for that

Exceptional work from Northamptonshire

15-3 in the semi final, 9-3 in the final - and won both games. Fabulous knocks from Duckett and Cobb specifically

Yorks batting big guns misfired in the semi.

Northants worthy winners.

While I wanted Yorkshire to do well, delighted that Northants won.
