Super Mac to work with Raonic
I see that the great John McEnroe is to work with Milos Raonic. Not so much in a coaching role as far as reports suggest but more in an advisory role helping him throughout the upcoming Wimbledon. I am not sure how permanent arrangement this is but I see it as a great appointment.

Yep, this is a big hire and I think shows Raonic is doing all the right things to get to the next level. To me it's a signal that he wants to add variety and net play to an already lethal power package. Raonic is a really bright kid, and he has shown that with his off the court decisions and how he is improving himself.

Well Raonic has the game that is well-suited to Wimbledon. Bringing Mac in we all know what a fabulous volleyer he was so obviously Milos is looking to improve the volleying side of his game as we know his serve is great.

Yes, I think both he and Kyrgios are big threats to the established order at wimbeldon, they are two guys that even Novak or Andy don't want to see in their wimby bracket

It's a surprise he hasn't done as well in previous years at Wimb tbh...this can only help.

This is a great choice that is already bringing first fruit - Raonic is learning from Mac how to succeed at RG.

True. In my defence, I was not entirely serious.

Any conflict of interest if Mcenroe is working as a coach while doing TV work (I assume he will still do TV work at Wimbledon - he usually does US and Brit TV both at that event).

Clearly Raonic is the best coached active player of all time.laverfan wrote:Will it really help? Reminds me of NFL/NBA mind set vis-a-vis coaching...
